Sharp, beautiful, comfortable & an INCREDIBLE value!
You can certainly spend a small fortune for more expensive knives, but this knife is of great quality, looks beautiful, and sits comfortably in your hand. It is an AMAZING value for your money (I paid $39.95 in July 2021).As you can see from the packaging in my photos, " All HENCKELS merchandise is fully guaranteed against defects in material and/or craftsmanship." Make sure you go to their website to activate your lifetime warranty and you're all set. This is great peace-of-mind.Like many of their products, I guess you COULD put these in the dishwasher, but I would not recommend it - handwashing preserves & prolongs the quality of the blade and the integrity of the handle. The knife measures 13 inches long end-to-end, with the blade of 8 inches (as advertised) and a 5-inch handle. The end of the handle has the Henckels, single-person stick figure logo as part of the single piece of metal from end-to-end.My favorite part is the weight of the blade, which does all the work for you and reduces hand/grip fatigue with long cutting tasks, and also the curved shape of the handle (see pics). It is very comfortable to hold for a period of time whether holding it "properly" like a chef (holding the blade & handle, or just holding the handle.Store this guy in a decent container (a counter block or a drawer block) and it will treat you well for a long time. This was a great purchase at a great price!

China?? But... it's GOOD!
I'm a bit chagrined to find Henkel's making their product in CHINA! It seems lighter in weight, and I thought it looks noticeably thinner than the Henkel's that I used to have back in the 90's... but I tried using it and its soooo ergonomic, as the Henkel's always were. It arrived RAZOR SHARP.It's been a long time since I owned one Henkel's knife; I used to always have one because it was my main tool by trade as a resort cook. I always sweared by Henkel's; they are the best long-lasting quality and ergonomic design which holds a good long-term sharp edge. They used to cost a fortune when they were only made in Germany; the price came down significantly in the mid-90's when they were made in South America. Now they are even less expensive being made in China; the cost of a cheap knife but still with Henkel's quality??? I'm flabberghasted! Cool deal ✨

Good knife
This would be 5 star, but the blade isn't truly straight. It holds an edge and the grip feels great.

Great quality for the price
Very high quality knife at an affordable price. Purchased as a Father’s Day gift and it quickly became his go-to knife for every kitchen task. He likes this one even better than the Sabatier knife he’s had for 40 years.

Wow. What a value!
I purchased this knife to replace my original 15-year old Henckels chef's knife (made in Germany) which was part of a set. The big problems I had with my old knife were: a) it would just not hold an edge, and b) my knuckles would bump the cutting board while using. This especially prevented me from holding the knife properly, requiring me to point my index finger along the top of the blade to make more room for my big hands. For my large hands, this knife is perfect. It gives me another 1/3" more clearance for my knuckles, promotes proper grip and makes cutting a breeze. So far, the edge is razor sharp, and I regularly hone and sharpen as necessary so I'm hopeful this knife will keep performing .The fit and finish are extremely good. It's a solid, medium weight knife that has inspired new confidence in my culinary skills.I would have gladly paid WAY more for something this good. Just buy it.

Great knife, very sharp
I'm not a chef or even someone who cooks very often. But I do chop vegetables when I do cook, and I had a junky cheap knife for decades that I finally grew weary of putting up with. I really wish I had bought this knife sooner. The ease of slicing and chopping is a real pleasure - yes, pleasure - and the weight and feel of it are just great. I couldn't be happier. I'm sure it is easy to cut yourself with a knife this sharp, so be careful. I haven't cut myself yet and certainly don't want to. It is very sharp!
