Upgrade Bottle Cutter-2.1

Got this to repurpose some wine bottles and it has been such good quality for the price! Very easy to use and store. Have gotten so much use out of this over the past two years and will repurchase when necessary.

For square bottles you have to take it apart and use some parts. For the usual round it does well. The bottle stop is a little weak, so you have to use care to not slide the bottle while cutting.

Came assembled. Two cutting heads came with which was NOT advertised. Nice to have the extra cutting head. Took me less than five minutes to remove the other cutting head, attach the extra roller wheel, align the cutting head, set the stop, and score my first wine bottle. Does a wonderful job. Love how solid the base is and there are no bolts to lose since the base has integrated bolts that stay with the base. It came with written instructions as well as a DVD which you can put in your player and watch a video on how to use this device. Also comes with a screwdriver to adjust the wheels and cutters with. I went for this one even though the price was higher. Since it is a version 2, they seem to have all the bugs worked out.

DO NOT purchase this product. IT IS JUNK! Does not work as advertised and is not structurally sound. Parts move, the cutter most importantly, when pressure is applied. Watched CD, read instructions and watched numerous videos online. DO NOT BUY!

This was a great bottle cutter on the first few bottles I used it on. The second time I pulled it out the cutter piece would not score the bottle and kept falling out of position no matter how much I tightened it. Switched pieces and while that one would score the glass it continued falling. I'm not sure if I should buy new hardware for it or if the mount area is already worn out somehow.

Worked like a charm, I am very happy with this cutter. The directions are easy to follow and the cutter platform is easy to add and remove rollers, cutters and stabilizer knob to get the right size for the bottle. It comes with everything including the screwdriver. After I'd cut my bottles clean up was easy, wet wipe and dry and put away for next use. =)

It cuts my bottles great. Needs a little practice but for sure a great buy to keep me creative.

I’ve been itching to start cutting glass bottles to make small planters or candle holders, but I couldn’t decide which cutter to get! I saw this one and read all the details and thought it would work well. And it does. I’m actually giddy about how easy this is, and kicking myself for waiting so long. The city I live in doesn’t recycle glass so it all goes in the trash. This is my way of avoiding contributing to the landfill, and make absolutely beautiful decor too! My friend saw my succulent planters yesterday and couldn’t believe that I made them myself! I’ve cut a wine bottle, a beer bottle, and a whiskey bottle. All worked so well. I’m pleased! Fait ce qu'il dit, mais doit peser très fort et utiliser de l'eau bouillante et glacé en alternance à plusieurs reprises pour fisurer le verre. Ne permet d'ajuster a toute les grandeurs de bouteilles. Bien pour faire des verres.

Been a while and product has sold out. I made an attempt however did not get a clean cut. It must have been experience or the process or that I don't have enough strength. The end product can be cleaned up nicely quickly if I have other tools though instead of the provided sand paper.

Very hard to use.
