Very easy to work with.
Because they’re aluminium you can use your miter saw and regular drill. Ends are already pre tapped for M3. If you cut it they’re easy to tap.

Good Quality, packaged well and shipped fast.
The black ones scratch easily so be extra careful if that is very important to you. I Love these beams, they are cheap, sturdy, look good, the hole in the center on each side is already tapped to fit M3 size bolts.

Toss up between these and OpenBeam
The Makerbeam XL's are a cheaper alternative to OpenBeam with some pros, some cons. Pros: - Cheap - Pre-tapped center (for feet/etc) - Smooth outer surface Cons: - If you get the black variant the surface scratches easily - Smooth surface sometimes isn't what you want All in all it's a good option if you're on a budget. All the accessories work between the two systems so it's a wash there. Going forward I'll probably buy some of each - MakerBeams when I'm going for long lengths.
