when I need targets these are the first option, easy to spot @100yards. Quality is great. Good size for all levels on the sport.

Now I must admit I am a bit of a novice shooter. I just recently required my HQL in Maryland but I do have previous experience firing my friends and family friends firearms. I have experience with shotguns, rifles (bolt action and semi-auto) as well as an array of handguns including Glock 17, Sig Sauer 1911-22, Beretta 92fs and more. That being said, I was introduced to this particular brand and style of target by my HQL training class instructor. In Maryland, they changed the laws in 2013 so that now in order to buy a handgun you have to get what is called your Handgun Qualification License (HQL). In order to get your HQL, you have to get fingerprinted and participate in a 4 hour instructional course that covers gun safety and proper handling. My instruction was a military veteran with over 30 years firearms experience including competition shooting and advanced tactics. He taught a great class and at the end of it (in order to pass) you have to put one round down range and hit a target. These were the targets he used. And he also said "go ahead and empty the magazine". I have to say, when i shot at this target it was like no other target I'd ever shot at. It's not just like putting holes in paper, the rounds have a "splatter" effect, like the name says. The rounds hit the target and are immediately noticeable even from long ranges of 25'-50'. The contrast between the neon and black is also very helpful and when I bought my first gun (Sig Sauer 1911-22) I used 5 of these bad boys to get a feel for the sights. The targets last you a while I've noticed, as you can use the 4 different target zones to practice your groupings and then you can start aiming for specific body quadrants. The only drawback is these were a bit too small for the range I went to (they wouldn't fit in the clip) and so I had to purchase one of the large range target (a whole $1) to then pin the splatter target up on to. A solution to that would be buying the larger 18x24 targets. Overall, great product and will be my target of choice for years to come!

Amazing targets! Lots of targets for a very low price. These targets are easy to hang and see from very far away. The only downside is that they scratch very easily and will scratch unless you store them with cloth or some soft surfaces on each side. They overall work great for all types of ammo. I've tried them with 45, 223, and 22LR and it works great with every round. Would definitely buy again as they are good quality and thick paper. Amazing!

There's a reason these targets are the #1 seller in hunting targets and accessories. Sturdy, shows shot placement well, good value and just plain fun to use. Buying targets at the range can add up especially if you shoot often. Ammo is expensive enough, great targets don't have to be.

Consistently high quality with Splatterburst targets - a game changer for shorter distances as you can see where you are hitting without the aid of magnification. Longer distances mean you can see the hits without guessing or nearly the effort of a paper target. (Assuming you aren't putting all your shots into the same hole, of course. A problem I don't seem to be plagued with) Note the dimensions.. this is smaller than some standard silhouette sizes, so you can train to a higher standard, or you can have the target closer and have the same effect. Just remember, if you are shooting closer to take into account offset (which is good to know at different distances anyway). 6 stars for this target if it had a row of cover up patches across the top. I buy those separately. If you are on the fence because these targets cost more than paper, then think about the ammo costs and what you would save for having the immediate feedback shot by shot vs checking your hits after a mag etc. Everyone shoots differently, has different setups etc., but I've found I've saved enough ammo cost to justify my splatterburst purchases over the years. Of course I use paper targets too.. depends what I am doing etc.
