I am thrilled to emerce myself into this “verbs made easy” book. Everything is explained in great details and it’s extremely helpful. I love this book :)

Excellent beginner to intermediate book! After trying a paid subscription service to learn German and watching many free videos online, I was approaching a B1 language level for comprehension, but hit a plateau. I noticed I was missing some fundamentals when it came to speaking, and I had gaps in my understanding of grammar & sentence structure (which can be hard to pick up just from watching videos). I was looking for a book with the instruction written in English that would effectively explain foundational aspects of German verb conjugation, tenses, and grammar. This is the winner! It includes clear explanations, impressive breadth of material, and helpful written exercises for practice. I’m very pleased with this purchase and how accessible the content was for me. Could be a great primer or refresher for an A1/B1/B2 learner.

I have been learning German for just over a year. Between Apps, a tutor, and other online sites, I've become proficient in what I call "visitor speak." I learn best when I see, hear, speak, AND WRITE the language. This is where Lingo Mastery has been a blessing. When I can take what I've learned to paper, practice the lesson, and check for understanding quickly, I know I have it. There are language patterns that come to light with Lingo Mastery because they offer supporting audio files, workbook activities, and an answer key.They are also good guides if you are working with a native German speaker who isn't a formal teacher because they offer structure to the lesson.

I have just recently started learning German and I find this book to be helpful. I'm sure the more I learn, the more I will rely on this book.

I found this book very useful, particularly the workbook sections. I finally understood some mysteries of German verbs I had been struggling with! Plus, the book was fun!

Great addition to my German language books

I wish I would have had this book a long time ago. I am a German native speaker, but my husband is not. He's been struggling to learn German for many years, and although I try to help him, my knowledge of grammar is from my school days in Germany. So, when he has questions regarding the grammar he's learning, I can't tell him much about the why a given sentence is structured the way it is. I can only tell him if what he's written/spoken is right or wrong -- a very frustrating situation for him! That's why Lingo Mastery's "German Verbs Made Easy" is a godsend. Since I've had this book he's been able to look up the answers together himself and finally get the "why it's so" questions answered. We have other German grammar books, and they are helpful, but German Verbs Made Easy really lives up to its title. It begins with the very basics of how consonants and vowels are pronounced, with English equivalents and examples, and then steps the reader gradually through all the basics of verbs and all the tenses with which they are used. There are plenty of examples of sentences in both German and English that help clarify just how the verbs are used and the proper word order a native German speaker would use. There are also plenty of exercises to put what one learns into practice, and of course, answer keys to verify you got them right.The book also includes access to audio examples for each section. We didn't use this though, as my husband has a good handle on pronunciation and how the German language sounds. Overall, I can't recommend this book enough. It is well worth the price and my husband has already recommended it to his classmates.

I received a pre-publication copy of this book for review after having purchased others in this series and I do believe this is probably the best one yet. It is well organized and pretty comprehensive for beginners. Some language study helps seem to focus on complexities and exceptions to common rules, but this small volume will help make using German verbs more SIMPLE and easy to understand. They always begin discussions with what you already know, i.e. commonalities with English, etc. and have a style that is laid back and winsome. Take a moment to browse the sample at the top left and then pull the trigger. Another winner from LingoMastery- highly recommended.
