Great product! BIG pieces with very little powder. Perfect addition to my potting medium. I won’t buy big box store ground up perlite ever again. I’m very pleased with moisture and drainage. Good products make a big difference in plant growth and health.

This size vermiculite is SO hard [for me] to find. It’s great for holding a bit of moisture when added to a totally gritty mix with no soil or coir added. Plus, it’s also a mineral treated with heat to “puff up” so it retains a bit of l moisture, and your plants get an additional boost from it, as well. However, I don’t advise using if your succulent or cactus mix is heavy with soil or coir. I found this product to be of high quality and equal particulate sizes of pretty close to 1/4”, give or take a minuscule amount. I highly recommend this brand coarse vermiculite.

The first order was perfect, the second order was HUGE perlite, super chunky and not appropriate for my aroid and monstera substrate mix. The first order was a size 4 and perfect for for chunky mixes for aroids and monsteras. Some powder, but not a lot. It was clean and works well for drainage. I don't know what the size of the second order (I reordered the exact same product) is for. At the correct size (4), it aerates the soil and keeps the soil from staying too wet, has no smell, and had very little dust. I am going to give this seller one more try.

This is a great deal. I go through a lot of perilite because of the amount of plants that I have. I always order this. It lasts for a while. There is a lot of white powder in the bottom of the box so use gloves or a scooper and rinse the perilite when you get near the bottom. This never fails me.

I've read quite a few of the reviews for this perlite and notice that the size of the product available to the seller must vary somewhat. My personal experience with my purchase so far has been 100% great. The order arrived on time and was shipped well contained in a sturdy plastic bag inside of a box. I first opened the bag while it was still in the box and I was amazed at the size of this perlite.. I think it's bigger than what's pictured in the listing of it. I love it!! I washed it outside on a cement surface in big plastic strainer bowls and there was MUCH LESS dust than any other perlite that I've ever used (and I've used a lot). I expect to be buying any future perlite here. This chunky perlite is extraordinary. My thanks to the sellers.

As promised, uniform medium perlite

This chunky perlite works well for adding aeration to my soil and making a homemade aroid mix. The pieces that were intact were a good size and helped improve drainage, which is exactly what I needed. However, I was disappointed with the amount of dust and broken pieces in the bag. There was way more fine powder than I expected, which made it messy to work with and reduced the amount of usable chunky perlite. I had to sift through it to separate the larger pieces from the dust, and then rinse all of it off to get rid of excess dust, which was a hassle. Overall, it’s decent quality, but the excessive dust and crumbled pieces bring it down a notch. If you’re looking for truly chunky perlite, be prepared to do some sifting, also do it outside!! Perlite dust is harmful when breathed in.
