Can wire down to 1 ohm. Makes 600w of power and fits easily under my front seat. Also not too expensive. A winner in my book.

Work's great with a set of Alpine 8" subs

Powerful little amp. Have this on 2 skar shallow mount 12’s at 2 ohm and it pushes them with no problem. Highly recommend

I bought this amplifier for my 2023 Toyota Tacoma TRD 4X4 OR, and it is awesome. This is only the second Alpine amplifier that I have bought in my life, and I will never buy another brand. I bought my first Alpine subwoofer amplifier in 2006 and I was very happy with the sound. Importantly, I reinstalled the amp and 12" Audio Lab subwoofer two more times over the next 18 years, and the amp never failed. In one installation, it was installed under the driver seat for a few years and it got so dirty and grimy, I was amazed it never failed. The second installation was in the spare tire area in the trunk. I thought for sure the heat would ruin the amp, but this thing kept ticking. I gave that car to a family member and decided to part with the speaker and amplifier, which is when I bought this amplifier. Note that this is the S2. I had a professional installer do the installation, and he tried to sell me the S1 version of this amp and it was more expensive. I don' know what the difference is, except that this is the newest of the two models. This is a fair price for an excellent brand.

Installed this to run my S series 12" at 1ohm and promptly fried it🤬 (the woof). This thing is bad-ass! More power than rated. I just got really carried away listening to bass music. Have since started using a subsonic filter and made some adjustments and think I'm ok running a new newer version of the S woofer. Also bad-ass. I highly recommend using a subsonic filter, aka high-pass crossover. Minimizes the ultra low freqs the woof can't handle. Update- ended up smoking the second S-Series woofer also. Running at 1 ohm is just too much. I don't care that the amp States it's the same at one or two ohm. Trust me, it's not. One ohm hits much lower and harder. I tried a kicker 2 ohm box and it was nowhere near as low as the s. Currently running an nvx 800 W RMS at 1 ohm and it slams. Just have to monitor the voice coil temp.
