this is exactly what you need if your system is in one room and you have remote speakers in another. now I can easily control volume from a second room when listening to music out of range of the stereo remote sensor. the little pucks are smaller than I expected, which is a good thing. they were plug and play, no setups required, no stupid apps, no remote wifi or bluetooth . just works. and works with my “vintage” stereo remote from the 80’s. these are hard to beat for the money. comes with everything you need.

Works (connects) well. Worked from my second floor office to my basement. The intended use is to connect (occasionally) to an IR remotely controlled antenna rotor. The units are decently designed. Power connectors are different than the signal connectors so as to not allow for stupid or accidental plugin errors. You can still plug into the wrong IR signal socket with the extender sensor/emitter cords, but the plugs are different (2 contacts vs 3 contacts). I suspect that this possible error is fail safe and not destructive. These units are inherently secure since they are not connected to WIFI or Bluetooth or whatever.

Easy setup and working just minutes after opening the box. I wanted to use my DVR from one room while on my treadmill in another room. I already had the HDMI cable in place, but had to "suffer" through commercials. Simple, compact, and has everything for multiple options included. So far, day 1, very good product.

Works better than expected. Older repeaters required a lot of time determining a code for the brand of device you wanted to control. This model seemed like a plug and play right out of the box. Easy set up and so far working great. A little pricey, but I can finally close the door to my cabinet where my AV receiver was located.

These work MUCH better than an older setup I had. Controls an Escient DVDM100 upstairs that has output video and audio routed to the basement projector. The IR control form the remote in the basement is very responsive and accurate.

These are handy. I use them in my camper, where I have one dvd player feeding both the bedroom and the main room. With these remote extenders I can control the dvd from either place.

It does not work with my jvc remote control.

There is a good distance from the tv in the front of the room to the receiver in the back. There are 3 rows of chairs there too so the only way to adjust the receiver volume was to stand up and raise the controller to clear a line of sight. Not any more! This device solved years of well that’s just where the volume will be. A perfect fix to a frustrating issue.
