Simply put, Excellent...
Ok so, the preface: Writing this review after 2 uses. I read dozens of reviews before buying this product. The cons I read were either 1) it didn't work or 2) it was extremely drying. I have to wonder if for 1) did you follow the directions properly and/or how light was your blonde hair to begin with? and for 2) again, did you follow the directions and what kind of hair type did you have to begin with: Is it really fine hair? Was it already damaged? How often do you wash your hair? Is it daily? So a little about me... I'm not a hair stylist but have enough family members who are to know how to be hair literate lol. I recently highlighted my hair with a cap and Wella bleach with 20 developer. Done this plenty of times in the past with great success but didn't leave the bleach in long enough so my hair had more brass than I normally like even with using a Wella toner (light ash blonde) immediately after. My hair type is medium-fine but lots of it, naturally frizzy with some wave, and is not damaged. After styling (I always use a leave-in styling conditioner prior to applying heat) my hair looks lovely. I also wash my hair every 2-3 days. With that said... here's what I've done thus far with this product. 1ST USE: left on for 3 minutes per the instructions on the bottle. Since many of the reviews commented on drying, I immediately followed it up with a 15 minute Olaplex treatment (#3 bottle). I HIGHLY recommend investing in Olaplex for restoring health back into processed hair. It's excellent. Anyway, after first use the shampoo definitely toned down the yellow/brass from my hair but not substantially. It was MINIMAL. Even I couldn't notice it at first but after styling I could definitely see a difference that left me eager and looking forward to trying it a 2nd time but leaving it on for a longer duration. Side note: I would also recommend giving your hair a few days break before using this shampoo again just to be safe. While it did not dry out my hair at all, I also hadn't washed my hair for 3 days which left some natural oils on my hair to help protect it from whatever processing it was going to endure from the shampoo. 2ND USE: My 2nd time using this shampoo was 6 days after the 1st use. It had been 2 days since I washed my hair as well. I left it on for 6 minutes this time and definitely saw a much more substantial change in my hair this go around. It toned down the brass really nicely. Some areas more than others but no worries as I like dimension. Once again, I followed up the shampoo with a 15 minute #3 Olaplex treatment. Styled my hair as usual after and still really couldn't notice any drying/damage. Perhaps because I restored health back into my hair after utilizing Olaplex? Dunno, but I'd rather be safe than sorry and will continue to follow this pattern regardless :) I plan on using this a 3rd time in about a week or 2 as I'm already very happy with the color of my hair. I will probably leave it on another 6 minutes the 3rd time just to keep the color as is. It's really important to keep in mind that this shampoo is not a LIGHTENER. Perhaps many of the individuals leaving negative reviews have different expectations than what TONING is about. A toner is not a bleach. It's a way of neutralizing a color from the opposite end of the color spectrum. Only bleach will lift color. COLOR WILL ONLY DEPOSIT COLOR. Thus, that's why depending on how lifted your hair is to begin with some people will walk away with a purple tint on their hair because the purple shampoo color deposited into the follicle. Boom, science. With all of this said here are my recommendations for using this product! 1) Use it after not washing your hair for 2-3 days to allow some natural oils to become a healthy barrier from whatever processing this shampoo will do to your follicle 2) Immediately follow it up with a leave in conditioner that works well with your hair type. I recommend Olaplex. 3) DON'T use this daily. This is definitely not a daily-use shampoo. It's meant to be used sporadically so anyone complaining about the price tag for such a small bottle is not thinking of the full picture here. 4) Follow the directions the first time around and don't leave it on for longer than 3 minutes. Slightly bump up the duration every time thereafter at your discretion or until you find a duration that works well for you. Wish I had taken before and after pics but you're going to have to trust me on the above and give it a shot yourself!!

INTENSE purple hair shampoo! My go-to for quick removal of brassy tones
I have a high ombre that goes from dark brown at the roots to platinum blond at the tips. I ended up buying this Bold Uniq Purple Shampoo because of the raving reviews and I absolutely agree with them! First, this is a pretty high price for a shampoo in a relatively small bottle, HOWEVER, I would never use this as a daily shampoo unless you want purple hair. I use this as a hair mask/shampoo no more than once a week and I use a different/less intense purple shampoo for the other days. Since I don't use this daily, it lasts a LONG time so the price is worth it. The shampoo is a VERY deep/dark pigmented purple color. If you leave it in too long or use it too often, you will end up with purple hair so use it only occasionally if you're just trying to remove brass from blond. It does work as a shampoo for cleaning hair, but it is a bit harsh and makes my hair stripped/dry so I lather A LOT of conditioner afterwards to keep my hair smooth and soft. It has a nice light almost floral scent to it. If you are looking for a strong purple hair mask to remove brassy tones from blond hair quickly, I HIGHLY recommend this one. With just one application, I see a NOTICEABLE improvement in my brassy tones. I have purchased this stuff multiple times now and it's a staple in my haircare routine. Hope this helps!

The best purple shampoo I've ever used.
There were pro's and cons to all of the products in this combo pack, but overall I have to say that I love this shampoo and conditioner. The shampoo was unfortunately the most drying of any purple shampoo I've ever used (and I've used many), but in contrast, the conditioner was by far the most hydrating, so they definitely balanced each other out. After using the shampoo (which I actually applied to dry hair for more color depositing), and then followed by using the conditioner in the shower, my hair was soft, smelled great, and the tone was absolutely brilliant. Currently I'm embracing my gray, so my natural hair is growing in silver and the ends are still yellow/blonde. This turned all of my hair a silver color and reduced the transition line, and really brightened it up. I'm so impressed that I'll probably tell my colorist about this line, as she is always keen to learn about new purple shampoo products that she can tell others about and use herself. As far as the purple hair mask goes, I am really disappointed. I tried this about a week after using and loving the shampoo/conditioning combo, thinking that it would give it an extra boost of toning. It softened my hair ok, but the color was terrible, nothing like the other products. It definitely has more blue color in it, which can be seen before even applying the hair mask. After leaving it in for a few minutes and rinsing, I found that it had completely darkened my hair. Even my natural silver was muted and dull, all of the silvery brightness was gone. It made my hair not only look like dirty dishwater, but about 3 shades darker than before. I will never use the hair mask again, and I'm extremely disappointed in this particular product, especially after how well the original shampoo/conditioner worked and how much I loved it. Every product works differently on different hair types, but unfortunately I cannot recommend the conditioning hair mask due to the fact that the toning properties were drastically different than the other products, and made my hair look really dull and lifeless. This is really unfortunate, because all of these products should work together seamlessly, but they do not. However... as I said...the shampoo/conditioner combo is wonderful, and I will be telling everyone about it who is looking to transition to their natural grey or just trying to make their light blonde hair more pale/to remove the yellow tones. It brightens perfectly, and really creates/accentuates the silver highlights. These products are a bit pricy, but I honestly believe that they are well worth the cost because I know that I will not have to use them as often as other products I've tried. Other than the purple conditioning mask, I'm very very happy with this purchase.

Powerful set!
Got this set hesitating if it will work or no. I started using it right after getting my hair colored blonde. Let me tell you! This shampoo and conditioner works like a charm. The shampoo is super powerful! Be careful keeping it for too long on the hair. IT WILL COLOR THE HAIR in purple shade. It happened to me once. I actually liked it somewhat, but still. Something to keep in mind. Also, it washed away in few days. The conditioner is somewhat helpful. I didnāt really see a difference using it or no. The only one minute of this set is if you donāt wash it off your bath tub right away - you will have purple stains all over. And right after use - the hands will also stay purple for the rest of the day. I do think the set dried my hair a little bit. So, I usually use another good quality conditioner afterwards.

Highly recommend
This is the best purple shampoo I have ever used. If you are a blonde, especially if your a platinum or silver color then you know just how important, purple shampoo is and the quality is even more important. You can't just use any purple shampoo and get good results. So far for me personally , this purple shampoo is the best I have ever purchased

Lavender Hair
I left the toner on for 3 minutes as directed for the first time use and would adjust from there. It was pretty platinum with the exception of the roots, they were turning brassy. I focused the toner towards my roots and only ran the rest of it through my hair lightly. My hair did not tone towards the root and the rest of it is now lavender š A few washes in and it still wonāt fade. It leaves for very āUniqā hair and I get a tone of compliments, just wasnāt what I was looking for. First picture is before I used the shampoo, second is after the first use. Third photo is after the second use where I left it on for less than a minute and tried to rinse it with regular shampoo afterwards š

The strongest purple shampoo on the market
This is the strongest purple shampoo Iāve ever used. I recently had my hair bleached to platinum (after having a blonde balayage so I already had some purple shampoos), but the toner washed out within my first two washes and it turned Goldilocks yellow. I used all the purple shampoos I had and nothing worked. Freaked out, I turned to Amazon and found this. I thought I had the strongest purple shampoo (Blonde Brilliance from Sally, which is REALLY good) in my arsenal but this stuff takes the cake. This shampoo is no joke and really takes a learning curve to use to achieve desired results. Itās so purple itās almost black when you dispense it into your hands (it WILL tint your hands and nails temporarily so keep that in my mind). This shampoo knocked out all the yellow in one wash. Seriously. I was elated. It left my hair stark white after saturating my hair and leaving it on for 5 minutes. Caveats: 1. Your shower will be splattered with purple that is hard to clean. 2. Your hands and nails will be temporarily stained. 3. It is hard to rinse out completely. 4. It is super drying, so a mask or heavy conditioner is needed following use. 5. If your hair is porous it will leave a purple tint. 6. Do not use before work or an important event. So, hereās the thing...the second time I used this for the same amount of time (5 minutes) it left my hair very lavender. Noticeably purple. And I used it before work. Problematic as I work in an environment where I run front of house for a business and deal with customers all day. Thankfully itās a lax environment and my noticeably purple hair was not a problem With management, but I was self conscious about it all day. I will never make that mistake again. This shampoo also leaves your hair super dry. You HAVE to use a deeply moisturizing conditioner or mask after using. No ifs ands or buts. The end. You have to. Be very careful with this stuff. It is the strongest purple shampoo I have ever used and I have a slew of them, some more expensive than this one. BUT, it works! If you have bleached hair you need this is your Arsenal. Iād skip using other purple shampoos when using this and limit use to once a week. If you use it more than that you run the risk of having your hair turn purple. All in all, this is a game changer for platinum blondes. I wish I had found this shampoo sooner because I may have just stuck to a balayage instead of going full platinum. Like I said, this is the strongest purple shampoo Iāve ever used. If you have platinum hair, look no further for a purple shampoo.

life saver if u bleach on dark hair its a must have just in case!
works extremely well i ended up loving it so much I put it on the rest of my hair and let it stay on in a towel for an hour and sometimes i would go to sleep with it in and rinse it the next morning if it was too silver or purple id just use a stronger shampoo thats anti chlorine or just wash it a few times in a row and it woulf look great after. Im really grateful this stuff saved my butt a ton of times as a personal experimenter and cosmetology student that hated it. i finally know what im doing now and wont be needing this again anymore i pray! i just recently stopped using bleach completely and just use color now! comes out great the first time the roots are colored and look good and its blonde enough yay! no bleach for me thank Goddess and the Lord!!! š
