I'm looking for something to use with audiobooks. Does it remember where the current CD was when it's turned back on?

No. Its a very cheaply made CD player/radio. The radio dial is sloppy and difficult to tune in. That product is not worth the price when you look at functions or lack of functions. It was a birthday gift and the deadline for sending back got away.

where does it show what radio station i'm playing or is my radio defective?

as I got this to play cds I never noticed anything about the radio, I just found the tuning wheel but see no place that it tells me what station i am on. My cd says 8.8 all the time.

Is this product electric?

Yes it is both electric and if you want battery powered

Can you listen with wire earbuds?

No, there is not a place to plug in earbuds. I would not recommend this CD player anyway. The sound quality is not that good, especially if it is a CD that you make on your own with favorite songs. I really wish I had returned it, I hesitated and now its too late.
