Not much to say nice design fits perfect looks amazing

GOING INWhile i don't have the sort of gorgeous living room/s I've seen in the reviews, this looks so beautiful. Draws the eye constantly. Consoles have become a little dry in the looks department, and eXtremeRate seems to have you covered [hoho!] whatever your set-up.SPOILT FOR CHOICEI went with the wooden look, having a bit of love for the old Atari 2600 look, and of the options here it looked the most classy.PREPARATIONThis is my first time removing the face-plates, so I took the opportunity to give things a good clean under the hood before moving forward. Kudos to the manufacturer for linking a video on their Amazon page which takes you to an 8 minute thorough breakdown of what's necessary.The items comes extremely well packaged, with extra cardboard inserts and bubble wrap between the plates and the box itself. Furthermore there's superb instruction booklet - concise, easy to read, clearly illustrated and featuring a bold typeface - such a rarity these days!APPLICATION: FACE PLATES [easy!]I was tentative going in, but the video showed how easy it was to unlock and remove the white plates which came with the console, and in return it was really simple to snap on the new wooden replacements.APPLICATION: STICKER [the hiccup!]The video showed where to apply the start to the sticker, and the track to smooth down the rest until everything was complete, making sure the ports were open and the main buttons fitted though.Except, when i removed the sticker, it was dry as a bone. There were two of them in the box, presumably if you change your mind in the meantime and go with another design, else revert back to the original faceplates, but the second one was equally dry.I picked at the corner and thankfully some of the backing was coming away, and eventually, with a bit of teasing, did fully, revealing the sticky strip.Application where was a bit trickier, trying to hit the correct guides on the appropriate portion of the console, smoothing out the odd bubble, and eventually making sure the ports were covered and buttons pushed through perfectly.I got there, but it was a bit of a worry for a time!EXTRASYou get a choice of additions, depending on how you're displaying the console.Vertical does away with the stand entirely, replacing it with some thick rubber treats, alongside a smaller non-slip grip.Horizontal applies a different non-slip strip, but then you clip the stand on the same way you always would.ALL IN ALLThe new look is spectacular. I appreciate that the company has such a high bar in how the faceplates and extras come together, and it really does look like an absolute sweetheart The video in particular is such a classy touch.
