Retractable badge holder
These clips work great for those who have badges they need to scan for work. They are very sturdy and we have yet to break one. They have plenty of length of cord so you don’t have to be next to the reader to reach it with your badge. They clip on to any pants or belt with ease. They seem to be made with good quality materials and weigh next to nothing but hold several badges with ease. We have not had any problems with drooping or hanging.

I recommend this product for its durability.
Badge Holder Retractable Clip Heavy Duty Carabiner Badge Reel Keychain with Lanyard ID Cards Holder Cool Tactical ID Holder, Is a one of a kind. I have always wanted a retractable Badge/ID holder that can stand the number of times you have to pull on it, to open doors or just show ID, without breaking.

Easy to use, seems mostly secure
I purchased this after a lesser badge reel broke (in an unknown location), leaving me on a Monday morning without a work ID and without my building access card. Hassle! The main features for me are the apparently sturdy cord for the reel, and the heavy duty clip. Both seem to be well made and not prone to breakage. Also, there's a pressure feature in the badge holder that places pressure against the contents of the holder so it's less likely that the contents of the holder will slide out the top of the plastic holder. There are two weak spots, in my opinion. The first is the plastic strip that connects the wire reel to the badge/ID holder, and the plastic ID holder itself. The plastic strip loops through a gap in the hard plastic badge/ID holder and then snaps onto itself. It's pretty standard for a badge holder. However, it's a weak point, in that the snap isn't that difficult to undo. If it catches on clothing or a surface, the snap could release relatively easily The second weak point is the badge holder itself, which is rigid plastic, without reinforcement. I can imagine the plastic snapping (particularly in cold weather) if it were to smack against a particularly hard surface. If the break were at the slot where the plastic strip connects to the wire/reel, then the holder would fall off of the wire/reel.My solution, such as it is, is to thread the supplied key ring and the plastic strip through both my access card and the slot in the plastic holder. That will partially protect against failure of the plastic strip/snap. Alas, my badge does not have a slot to enable me to secure it to anything, so it's at the mercy of the plastic holder.

Heavy Duty and a little futuristic. I dont think I am going to break this.
I have a ID card that has to be worn where it can be seen and it used to key in and out of doors. The standard offering from the company has never lasted more that a week. I wanted something durable, since I tend to break things. This may actually outlast me. It has a coated metal cord, a heavy duty spring on the retraction and the carrier holds the card and has a clear front to make sure the badge is visible. It is heavier than a normal lanyard but I think its as close to unbreakable as I am going to find. It fits one card comfortably and has a key ring for physical keys or Yubikeys if needed. They state it will hold 3 oz. with out difficulty and I suspect that may be an under estimation. Feels like it would work really well with facilities staff.

Tough, Dependable, and Holds More Than Just an ID
This isn’t your typical flimsy badge holder. Strong steel cable and reinforced clip easily hold keys, tools, and multiple cards. The carabiner hooks securely to belts, bags, or tactical gear. Perfect for security staff, tradesmen, or anyone who needs a rugged retractable solution.
