I personally love this. Though it gives a shine to skin that people may not like. Acne prone and doesn’t make me breakout. Feels light. Nice for a non hot day. Wish it were cheaper

So I wrote a lonnngggg review about this sham of a sunscreen and somehow it disappeared, so now I am back to rewrite, although I will try to cut it shorter this time and still try get my point across. This is not an spf50. It only has 12% zinc oxide. That is simply not enough, especially for an spf 50. There are no other chemical or physical sunscreen ingredients. With such low zinc content, you need to see another active ingredient in there to give you the sun protection. This stuff is like an spf 15 at best. It is not sweat proof or sweat resistant, and is not waterproof or water resistant. It has no staying power on your skin. It is oily and greasy and stays shiny on your skin which attracts more sun rays to your face. When applied in a proper amount and like a sunscreen should be applied, it does leave some white cast, but it is also shiny. You don't apply sunscreen in a minimal way. You shouldn't be trying to get the thinnest, lightest layer on your skin with the least amount of product possible. And you do need the white cast if you want your face to be protected. The more white cast, the more you are protected. I understand people don't want a white face, but I mean let's consider the alternative - sunburn, sun damage, skin cancer, brown spots, hyperpigmentation, wrinkles, etc etc etc. This sunscreen is NOT protecting you from that! I have melasma. On those areas, I can literally feel my skin tingle when it is catching too much sun. Usually as I'm getting to the endlife of the previous application etc. It'll start to feel like it is getting sunburn, but isnt... it is just a common way melasma reacts to the sun and lets you know you need spf pronto. The first time I used this, I put it on, let it set for 20 minutes, and then took a 30 min drive, round trip, without even getting out of the car. I had to run an errand and felt this was a better time to try it out vs sitting out back at the pool with the kids. My face was tingling 5 minutes into the drive and the rest of the whole effing car ride and by the time I got home my skin was pink and my melasma spots were darker. I know my skin. I've dealt with melasma for over 20 years. I know how my skin reacts in the sun. I know how my spots are effected with various levels of exposure or protection, etc etc etc. There is absolutely no way this is an spf50. There is just no way because my face wouldn't have been pink and my spots wouldn't have gotten darker during a 30 min car ride when my windows are all fully tinted (for the purpose of the extra sun protection!) and the AC was on the entire time, and I wasn't even out of the car. So, next I give it another test and put a blotch of it on my arm and go outside to do some yard work. By the end of my yardwork, some hours later, I should have had a noticeable spot on my arm where the sunscreen was, since it should have protected that spot and then tanned all over the rest of my arm.. but, there was no spot and could not even visually tell where the sunscreen was placed. So there was no protection. Do not trust this to protect you from the sun because even without melasma, this is just not enough protection and the 12% zinc just isn't enough to make this an spf50, especially when you add the lack of staying power and the lack of any kind of sweat or water resistance. You need at least a 20% zinc content if zinc is the only format of protection in the product. When you have multiple ingredients to provide the protection, that's when some lower numbers are acceptable because it is multiple ingredients working together to create that higher content of protection. Who knows what this really even is. And it stinks too. Like plastic and something else that I can't place my finger on.

Sunscreen gave me a horrible rash and made my skin peel. I really wanted it to work out and now I cant return it.

Just started using the product so can't really say how good it is. But so far it seems like a good product.

This is a review for the Odacite SPF 50 Sheer Sunscreen Mineral Drops/Lotion I have older, dry skin and I am always looking for quality facial toners and lotions that won’t irritate my very sensitive skin. Happy to say I really like this one a lot. This sunscreen lotion has the most luxe texture; it feels silky yet substantial and it absorbs quickly into my skin. Often with lotions of this type, I get negative reactions because of my skin sensitivity but not so with this; my skin is not only protected from the sun but it feels so smooth and moisturized after putting it on. I usually use tinted sunscreens because it’s too aging for me to use foundations or powders, but I do really like this one and hope they will come out with a tinted version. Do note, a little does not necessarily go a long way; this is a little pricey but that’s up to the buyer to decide. Lastly, this advertises as unscented but there is some slight scent; for me it’s a pleasant scent, and it not only doesn’t irritate my skin, it makes it feel better.
