I described it earlier. I don’t know why they’re asking me for another review, but the product appeared to be a repaired item and not repaired very well. The frame is crooked the bolts if they’re tightened, don’t allow the inside pieces to move. I realize your aircraft nuts on there, but The bolts are smaller than the holes in which they put through, causing them to shift positions and cause a bind on the ratchet, Pawl

I was excited to have bought this for emergency purposes. My excited took a 180° turn after unboxing and ended up cutting my finger on the sharp handle edges. The sharp edge never got deburred. I started inspecting the rest of it and realized, the gear tooth engagement forks don't line up. This is dangerous if under load because only one side would bear all the load and slip. Definitely missed quality control on the one. Going to return it for an exchange and see if it's any better. Will update. Update.. Decided to return it.

I needed a winch/ puller to last bit of force to pull out a tree stump I dug up already . Most roots were cut . I used one 4400 lbs rope and one 11000 lbs for the Anker side to protect the 11000 lbs winch . Ratcheting the tension up was good , but as soon as the force starts building up it appears the ratcheting gears get out of alignment and the stop mechanism does not lock it. You ratchet and then you press the stop or blocker in by hand . Also with some teeth of the gear it does not engage at all. So you have to find the right spot , push the lock in by hand etc. on the pics you see that gears are bend within, they are just punched and the ratcheting mechanism only engages barely on one side . For one job it works and it is cheap, but if you want to utilize full 5 tons , I am concerned about the design, strength and blocking / stopping of the gears. I hope you can see it on the pics , but it got the job done and is pretty cheap … but will not buy again and return for a hopefully better manufactured one

Horrible quality. Ordered two. First one cable was wrapped on the spool such that you couldn’t get it to feed any cable. The second one the release pawl wouldn’t release. Had to basically disassemble the unit under tension. I really try to avoid Chinese stuff. This completely re-enforced staying away from Chinese made products. Truly can’t get over how crappy these were.

When you pull over a ton and a half the tension distorts the ratchets housing and the locking ratchet spring will stick and not lock the ratchet automatically to keep it from unwinding

These are absolute junk! I don't consider myself that strong, and I already bent the handle because there are cuts in the metal at the bolt. There are supposed to have a 5 ton rating, and I could do more with my 2 ton Maasdam. Going back to Massdam!

Got it broken apart after the first usage.
