Worked great for CP soap and a great price.
I used the test strips for CP soap. The color change was very quick and I was able to match the color to the chart with no problem. I also tested my pool water to compare the results to my pool test strips. According to my pool test strips the ph is about 6.2 or 6.8. The result of the new litmus test strips was about a 6 (give or take), because in this range there is little or no change in color to the test strip. While these may be too large a range to measure the pool ph, they are perfect for my cp soap. Since I was able to perform a comparison test And receive similar results, I feel my reading for my soap is fairly accurate. Overall, I am very pleased with my purchase. Oh, and I forgot to mention delivery was really fast.

They work.
Convenient package, BUT they should make the front cover a little bit shorter so that it doesn't overlap the staple and can self-close like a matchbook. At least on the books I received, the front cover is the same length as as the back, with a significant overlap of the staple, so unless they're re-creased they won't close flat. However, the strips work adequately. Results reasonably matched expected values for pineapple juice, tap water, white vinegar, 10% sodium bicarbonate solution, and to verify (along with mass comparison) that I'd successfully calcined my sodium bicarbonate into sodium carbonate (again with a 10% solution). Did not have so much success with testing pH of a sourdough starter I was trying to make, but that's pretty thick (so checking with litmus paper may not be very accurate) and the starter didn't work out and was tossed out, so it might've been plenty accurate: the litmus paper showed it to be somewhat acidic but not as acidic as it should be to kill off bad bacteria; as well, after several weeks, it did not seem to get the right bacterial strains to stop smelling nasty from bad bacteria, so it was tossed out. Have not tried again yet.

Good Price for Test Strips with General Values, but not Precise Values
My test strips were delivered on March 11, 2017. This is a good product to obtain a general, but not precise PH value of saliva and urine. I test my PH in the morning and at night before bed. In general, a PH value of 4-6 is acidic; 7 is neutral; and 8 is alkaline. The body is functioning in a healthy range when the PH value is between 6.0 - 6.5 in the morning and between 6.5 and 7 in the evening. My daily PH values are in the range of 6-8. However, I am disappointed that these strips do not have a color variant for 6.5 and 7.5. Also, the golden color for the 6 value is similar to the original color of the test strip. I look at the test strip in different light to compare color changes to the chart. I also use test strips from the Stanaway Roll and the Hydrion type strips. The LabRat strips and the Stanaway Roll strips have similar general PH values. The Hydrion strips have 3 values in the 5 range; 4 in the 6 range; 3 in the 7 range; and 2 in the 8 range. I use the LabRat strips more due to the economical price.

PH Strips do as they should. You get a lot of them too.
I am using these test strips in order to test the ph of my water for gardening purposes (eventually) and to test the ph of my dye vats. They appear to be doing what they should and so I have no complaints. They are a thin piece of paper that you tear off and quickly dip in the water and compare it against the chart supplied. I found it easy to make the comparison as you can just put the paper in front of the chart and pick the one where you can tell a color difference the least. My water tested at a 7, which is right in the middle of the ph scale... most would think this is a great thing, but when dyeing a leaning toward one end or the other could produce nice colors. This is not a problem as there are ways to increase or decrease the ph and get what I want. Great ph strips from what I can tell so far. When creating my reviews I take in to full consideration the quality of the product, communication with the seller, and longevity of the product. I revisit my reviews from time-to-time in order to ensure the review is as up to date as possible based on my continued use of the product. This ensures that the product not only performs well upon delivery, but maintains consistent quality.

Work just fine
I'm using them to test the pH of various parts of a process--the deacidification and restoration of an old poster. That means I'm testing alkaline wash solutions (calcium hydroxide/H2O) and other things along the way. They are working well, though when you get up into the very high pH regions--12 to 14--it's difficult to be certain what the exact reading is (the resulting colors are so dark there appears to be little difference between the different pH levels). All other levels read easily and accurately (and the high pH levels are so high it doesn't really matter--if they are that high, they are *too* high). Pleased with the price, shipping, and functionality of the strips. Would buy again if I were dumb enough to tackle such a difficult project!

DO NOT BUY
These strips did not work. I tried them on several different foods, crushed into paste or dipped into sauce or liquid. Repeatedly, the paper did not change color. When it did change color - it was all the same color - the same acid level - every single time. There was no variation. I tested many different foods. Crushing them into a paste - not adding any liquid to them. Examples: Crushed blue berries - 7. Broth from fish soup - no change. Mashed potatoes - no change. Crushed celery - no change. Mayonnaise - no change. Water - 7. Sweet and sour sauce - 7. Peanut butter - 7. Jelly - no change. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY.

Good for overall use, not so great for specific testing.
These strips are a wonderful (and cheap) way to test the pH of something quickly. They are very reactive and do well overall. The only thing which I personally found rather confusing about these strips are the reaction colors. From around 5-8, they all are a similar or one tone different shade of green. I used these to test my skincare pH and the difference between a 5 and a 7 in products is huge - so having the colors look distinct is important. But other than that, you do get a bunch for the price which is nice.
