Light, Customizable, and Spin-Friendly – A Great Paddle for Intermediate+ Players
I’ve been playing with the Volair Mach 1 Forza 14mm for just over 5 months now, and as a 3.5+ level player, I’ve found it to be a light, fun, and highly customizable paddle that fits a variety of play styles. Out of the box, it has a low swing weight of 110, which makes it incredibly easy to maneuver and great for quick hands at the net. The real strength of this paddle, though, is how customizable it is—you can keep it light or add weight where needed to boost power, twist weight, or stability. After adjusting mine, it now feels like the twist weight is in the high 6.0 to 7.0 range, which really improved stability on off-center hits. The 5.5" handle length works well for two-handed backhands, and the stock grip is solid—comfortable and tacky enough for control, though of course grip preference is subjective. Performance-wise, yes, it may feel a bit underpowered or unstable fresh out of the box. But with some thoughtful customization, it transforms into a much more capable paddle that holds its own against higher-end models in terms of control, accuracy, and feel. What really stands out for me is the spin potential—this paddle can absolutely rip the ball. I’d say it generates as much spin as, if not more than, the Honolulu J2K, which is impressive for a paddle at this weight. Overall, if you're a player who likes to tweak and dial in your gear, the Mach 1 Forza 14mm offers amazing flexibility and performance potential. Just know it may take some customization to get it exactly how you like it—but once you do, it’s a beast on the court.

Good Quality Paddle- better than more expesive ones
I have been playing pickle ball for 4 years and this is at least the 5th different paddle I have purchased and played with over that time. For the past few years I have played with both an Engage and Gearbox paddles that I purchased for a lot more. The Gearbox I found had good power and the Engage had better control. This Forza paddle is the best combination of the two with great pop off the paddle on speed ups and phenomenal control when you need to slow things down at the kitchen. I play with a lot of spin and the face has great grip that produces a lot of spin on backhand slices. I did notice that now after playing with it for the past 3 months the grip has faded a bit and I do not get as much spin, but still similar to the competition.

All around paddle!
I’ll start with the packaging which is an absolute game-changer from anything else currently in the industry. I’ve purchase many paddles, I don’t think any other company put this much effort in just the presentation plus the goodies that come with it. The paddle itself is great, I come from playing with a DBD 16mm which I’ve had for a few months, it plays very similar to it, but to me it felt more powerful and slight more spin. The handle is great, I don’t think you necessarily need an over grip but I’m used to using one. If you have never played with a thermoformed paddle, it will take some time to get used to but once you do, the touch on this paddle is incredible. Happy with purchase!

A personal favorite. Very maneuverable!
The paddle feels like a feather at the net. The short head and balance makes it feel more like a ping pong paddle when volleying. It is lightning quick side to side. You can get a lot of pop and push the ball back to your opponent on volleys also. I am still getting used to the short head and I miss scoops and get shots bounding off the tip sometimes. That may be more me than the paddle. Some reviews on youtube say the paddle is a bit poppy on dinks but if you pay attention to your technique, dinks should not be an issue. The paddle has a firm feedback and great touch. It is not over dampened so you get a good sense of where the ball is going. For me I can feel the paddle pocket the ball nicely on harder shots. Very good spin also. I feel it could use some mass to help with power on serves. I tend to have to overswing to get pace and the wrist whippiness may cause arm problems if you are not carful with your swing techniques. It is a great paddle if you like fast wrist action at the net and prefer placing with fineness rather than brute power.

Good Paddle
Appreciate that the paddle comes with a replacement grip and an eraser for cleaning the gunk of the surface. Very nicely packaged. I felt like the paddle lost its grittiness after a couple of weeks of play. For sure now, after a few months, it doesn't "grab" the ball as it did when it was new. I do wish the handle was a bit longer, like Engage. Also I don't like that the brand is so big on the paddle; a small V (w/ the blue dot) on the throat...now that would be slick. I like the paddle but not sure I would buy it again though...unless it has longer handle, then I might reconsider.

Power and Control and Spin
I love the way this paddle feels. Very controllable and feels good in hand. Swinging to hit feels continuous without loosing grip and feel of the paddle. Power and spin is very good. I’m glad I bought this paddle would buy 10 more if I could.

Best paddle in the market!
I have tried many paddles and was looking for the one best for power, control, hand speed, and spin. The paddle is professionally packaged with extras. Volair absolutely nailed it !I used code “ALPHA10” at checkout for a discount on Volair’s website.

Horrible paddle, don’t buy
Horrible paddle don’t buy. Bought this paddle hoping to play well but instead it made my game a lot worse. All my hits were going out of bounds. I tried sinking with it and it just pops up super high. Terrible, and it’s already wearing out after 2 weeks of play. Even my 30$ paddle last longer than this. Volaire, I hope your company business go goes bankrupt.
