We installed these and three weeks later, springs on one side of our level trampoline appeared stretched out, and one broke off and injured my son’s left while he was jumping. Not durable at all.

Just installed replacement springs. Old springs were at least 6 years old with constant weather exposure. Some rusted or snapped and broke. Was time to replace them. These new springs looked the right size and length and installed easily enough. After I was done though, I went to compare them with my old springs, and the old springs definitely look beefier. Thinker guage, bigger circles barrel widths. Probably different between trampoline mamers but the thinner Steele and smaller circumference doesn't give me confidence that these will last as long. Maybe the Steele is made of some stronger stuff. Time will tell. The new spring is on the right in the photos (it's more polished :) I may not have checked the dimensions of the springs when buying except the length and count and I didn't have a digital caliper to measure the thinkness of my existing springs but maybe I should have measured the barrel circumference of the spring to get an idea of how much steele there was in the spring. I measured the springs on my food scale and the difference was about ~17% reduction in steele weight for the new springs. So definitely not as beefy. The alloy mixture could account for the difference. Hopefully many more years of fun for the kids.
