The original failed, making it hard to unlock the trunk. Replacing it isn't too hard, but is annoying since you'll need to take off a part of the trim and rusty parts made that more difficult. The part looks exactly like the original and works well after installing.

has trouble holding the lock cylinder in place. any amount of roughness will surely rattle it loose in time. the lock cylinders are not the best, get what i paid for and deserve. too bad there are no decent upgrades on the market for these old chevys...
