3M 6200, Medium

I love this mask! My husband and I both still wear a mask in public (because of my health issues) and I also wear it when I'm working with soft pastels, due to the huge amount of toxic dust that flies around. This mask is lightweight and creates a perfect, comfortable seal around the face. I tend to have a panic attack when I'm wearing a mask, but thankfully, I'm able to breathe well in this one, so that doesn't happen. I highly recommend this mask! As far as size, my husband and I both got the medium size and it fits both of us perfectly (for reference, I'm 135 pounds and my husband 170 pounds).

Started wearing a respirator more often when doing yard work, helps a ton with allergies. This is the one I got for my wife, I wear a large. Still going strong after a few years of use. I do recommend wiping out the inside with cleaner after you've used it for a day, or they can get kinda nasty. Comfortable to wear all day, but can get kinda swampy after a few hours.

Top quality, attaches firmly with no air leakage. A little pricey but my safety is worth the extra couple of bucks.

3M 6200 Half Facepiece Resusable Respirator, Medium: I'm so glad that I already had this and #2297 filters for use in my plastic model kit making hobby. It's a must-have for airbrush painting & lacquering. When the pandemic broke out I didn't have to scramble to find a mask. It fits well. And it's wearable for several hours at a time. The one unawarded star is for the quarter sized white rubber disks that serve as the valves to prevent exhaled air going back out thru the filters. They eventually start to make a loud 'click' on each exhaled breath. Thoroughly washing out the entire unit as 3M suggests solves the issue for a short time. Unfortunately, I can only find replacement discs in big quantities, for a big price. It's cheaper to buy an entire new unit - which I've done, twice.

I've used these for years while remodelling houses and painting and sanding....etc. So I was lucky enough to have a brand new one when the whole Covid thing hit. Listen, whether you're a believe or not, it's always nice to be able to say you're protected and Know you're protected. This mask does that. I don't care what the CDC or the government or your neighbor (the expert) says, this is the ONLY style mask that works and has multiple filters to accomadte the situation. Okay, it's not the Only mask that works but a lot of those can get very expensive. This one works because of its indirect filtration on the side of the mask. Switch the valves inside and you breath directly through the filters of your choice, which can be N99. You don't smell anything, the nose seals around your breathing holes, you freak people out with your stunning good looks, everyone wins! Only con: the filters are pink. Only pink.

I can’t say I love it because I hate the fact that I don’t feel protected by hospital provided n95’s, and know for a fact that they’re just passing your fit test to get you to work in whatever crappy mask they’re in possession of. I have had this independently fit tested quantitatively and qualitatively. It took a little bit to get it adjusted for the right fit, but once it was right it’s been great. I feel safer than with the disposable mask. That being said, due to the fact that it has an exhalation vent, you are not protecting anyone. However, my patients all have Covid already. The hospital has asked that we cover the exhalation vent with a surgical mask. I will be purchasing different filters because I’d prefer to have ones I can wipe with virex after each use.

I'm really happy with the quality and fit of this mask. The filters (which must be purchased separately) we're very easy to install, breathing through this type of mask is easy, and it shipped incredibly quickly. The medium fit me (woman - 5'8", 125lbs), well. I bought a large for my boyfriend (6'2", 170lbs), which fit him well. He wouldn't have been able to use the medium, and I wouldn't have been able to use the large. So everything worked out great.
