I was impressed by the heft of this lamp as I took it out of the box. It arrived well packaged, good enough to present as a gift. The battery in the base makes it feel very solid and very unlikely to tip over. The build quality feels good - the touch switch is responsive to on/off pressure, and makes dimming/brightening very simple. It comes with a long charging cable and plug, as well as a lens cloth, which was a cheap item to add, but very useful, and another indicator of the fact that few corners have been cut here. The lamp has been sprayed an attractive metallic blue and again, this looks to have been very well done. The brightness is good for the size of the lamp, and the lens strong and clear. It has transformed my crafting activities - no longer do I have to keep reaching for my reading glasses! Charge time is around 2-3 hours and I get 2-3 hours battery from it, depending on whether I use full brightness or not. This was a little bit more money than similar corded lamps, but having the cordless option was important for me as I can now pop the lamp in my craft bag if I am going to a craft group elsewhere. I can't find any negatives for this lamp, honestly - it's solidly built, looks good and does everything the description said it would.

Used for close work painting models. Light is bright and dimming option is useful. Neck is strong, so light does not sag. Magnification is sufficient. Unit is quite heavy so it feels stable. Power cord could be longer but is serviceable. Loses a star because it's not chargeable - looking back over the description I realise it doesn't say it is but i expected it to be chargeable seeing as the power cord is removable. Overall worth it, though.

I got back into scale modelling in my 50s, having not done it for 30-odd years. Of course, my eyes have gotten a little worse so when I realised I was squinting A LOT while building a 1/72 Revell Spitfire I hopped onto Amazon and ordered this one.. I wanted a wireless, magnifiying lamp and this fits the bill perfectly. 1. It's light (no pun intended) to move around. 2. It's quick to charge fuully (I tend to charge it from a powerbank). 3. The magnification level (5x) is just right for scale model kits. 4. The light intensity is adjustable by pressing and holding the on/off light. 5. the neck is bendy enough to be easily moved but rigid enough to hold the position you bend it into. Overall, highly recommended!

Good for my model making, having a movable neck is great for adjusting the position of the glass. The LEDs are really powerful so give out load of light and useful to have a dimming feature on them as well. If used on full power you'll probably get 2-3 hrs before you need to recharge.

It's okay. The light is too sensitive. You want to adjust the angle of the lens and keep turning it off.

This magnifying light is perfect for all of my hobbies, very handy indeed.
