I’ve had squatty potties since they first came out. First a white plastic one, then a bamboo one. But I live in a place with a really small bathroom now, so I wanted to upgrade to a foldable one. Surprisingly, the non brand name ones seem to be better designed than the squatty potty brand nowadays, and this one was really well priced. Wow! It is SO nice. Solid, substantial bamboo, clean lines, no ugly logo on top. Really sturdy hinges too. I don’t think the hinges lock in place, but they are very sturdy and stable, and hold the stool very firmly in the open position. Unless you plan to dance on top of it, I can’t see it being an issue. It’s so compact and cute, yet totally functional. I was looking at several, and ultimately decided on this one. Really glad I did. Such a great purchase. Oh! Also- several competitors have a non slip strip on the bottom that’s attached with double sided tape. Obviously, that’s going to degrade over time. This one has little rubber feet attached with screws. So much better!

after having a squatty potty at home for years, it always felt weird to not have one when staying in hotels. This has made car travel a little more luxurious. Its a little heavy for transport but is totally worth it to me. It folds up nicely but is very sturdy. I think it would definitely hold up to regular home use and am considering getting another one for that purpose bc it looks so much nicer than the white plastic of the squatty potty.

Stool is nice and looks nice, fits well against the toilet. Only complaint is the folding sides are a little flimsy when moving the stool out from against the toilet. The sides can fold in and make the stool unstable. A locking mechanism would solve this issue.

Great quality and nice height. Easy to store. Whether it’s under the toilet or folded it doesn’t matter. Love it for #2 time. I’m also a tall girl so it works great with long legs.

This is not as high as an original squatty potty. The wood looks better than plastic but it just isn’t high enough to really work properly. Good sturdiness and color.
