Great helper finding dropped screws or other metal items that have been dropped. Works perfectly to locate and pickup small metal item, or items that may be hard to see when dropped. Good price.

Great tool. Very lightweight. I love how the metal just drops off when you pull the handle.

Decent... but not terribly powerful. I was so looking forward to loving this... but it just isn't quite powerful enough to pick up everything we needed. So... we finished the job with the non-auto release one we had. If you are just picking up a few lightweight things, this is easy to use. But... the magnets just aren't strong enough for construction clean up.

Says it’s rated for 25lbs but it couldn’t pick up a 10lb weight. If your picking up lighter objects I’m sure it would work fine.

Very handy in the garage or the yard. Have recovered several dropped screws, and nails in grass. And when I need to dump a bin of multiple different screws out on my bench it’s handy to put them all back away with.

I love this thing, my neighbor wants one now too. It's perfect for collecting the random metal bits that ends up in my fire pit and near the driveway. So easy to use!

We had a small barn taken down and purchased this to check for any nails, so we wouldn't run over them with vehicles. I walked back and forth in the area and picked up hundreds of nails. The release is very handy. When the bottom would become full of nails, I just walked over to the trash bag and released them into it.

This thing is a piece of trash, it can hardly even pick up my keychain it’s so bad I don’t even feel like returning it…

Not a big reviewer but I almost didn't buy this because of the lack/one bad review. I was looking for a magnetic pickup tool with a quick release and was disappointed how few there were on amazon. This one is exactly what I was looking for. Decently strong magnet encased in a plastic shell. Pull the handle are whatever you've picked up falls off. Excellent for picking up screws/hardware that hits the floor. Can't speak to durability but appears fairly simple in design. So far A+ if you need a shop pickup tool.

I was looking for something to go over the yard after getting the roof done, opted for this one over the rolling ones as my yard isn't very flat. The release handle is super convenient, pick up nails, walk over the the garbage and pull the handle to release them into the bin. It is smaller and takes longer to go over the yard but I knew that when I bought it. Magnet strength is fantastic for what I needed it for.
