Neopets: The Official Tarot Deck: A 78-Card Deck and Guidebook, Faerie Edition Product Bundle – February 27, 2024

CUTE. I LOVE THIS DECK. I LOVE NEOPETS. Ok I'm done yelling now. The cards are thick and high quality, a lil bigger than I like but that's a non issue, my hands are just small for adult hands. I would say that I wish the back had a more nondirectional design so you wouldn't be able to tell when a card is reversed. The guidebook is a comprehensive book with tarot facts, AND neopet facts integrated on the pages. Its cohesive and clever.I would recommend this deck.

This deck scratches my nostalgic itch for Neopets.com.PROS:- beautiful design on the front and back of cards- lots of faeries (I forgot how involved faeries are in the Neopets world)- lots of Egyptian themed cards, my favorite part of Neopia- very CLEVER interpretations of the classic rider waite meanings- quality interpretation book with colored images- interpretation book has in depth upright and reversal meanings, AND reminds you of who each character in the card is and why they are important in Neopia- for the price of $17, the design, book and box are a great quality- there is the option to get a Faerie version (this version) or a premium version for $55 (it's an official deck from Neopets.com, and having 2 price point options shows they care and aren't that greedy)CONS:- the cards are so matte they are hard to shuffle, even after wear, they still stick together a bit- it had that chemical smell when I first opened them, but within 10 or so readings, the smell has dissipated- the edges of the cards easily chip or lift up- I am an Aquarius and unfortunately the Queen of Swords is the darkest card of the deck....for the Forest Faerie, when doing readings for others on camera, the background doesn't contrast enough, and you can barely see her.- interpretation book has some meanings that are mismatched with the cards, I believe Five of Cups was one of them, but I don't rememberI love the design of this deck so much, that eventually, I may upgrade to the Premium version and gift this Faerie version to a friend. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this deck for anyone who has played Neopets, and likes animals, faeries or anime as one of my Twitch users said the characters look like anime.I'm not part of the Furry community, but I assume this would be an awesome deck for them as well regardless of if they've played the game before.

This stuck is made of quality. Cute photos. Cute descriptions. I find myself going to this deck quite often for any numerous reasons. And low-key trying to get my friends to be equally obsessed with it as well.

This made an excellent gift for my fiancé who was a big Neopets player back in the day. Apparently, the website is still running. Makes a great nostalgia gift. The art is pretty cool and the guidebook is informational for anyone looking to make use of the deck. Cards are a bit 'cheap' feeling but good art, easy to read.

it's laughable that buyers were expecting $65 gold foil matte cards when it's a fraction of the price of the original release tarot deck, especially because there are sample images that have NO gold foiling in every description i've seen (including this amazon listing). they also never advertised an item code so i'd caution fans thinking about getting this deck to ignore buyer 1-star reviews who were misled by their own expectations (which honestly sound like some billionaire neopian problems lmao). this is an incredible bargain for what you're getting: the same art at a stunningly high quality, a thick cardboard box with thumb creases for ease of opening and closing, and a comprehensive guidebook that includes neopian lore of every card and help with tarot reading. i personally find the art on this set more vibrant than the $65 edition because there isn't an almost-white film from the matte finish clouding the details like the original. and it's literally $17 right now. if you have the original and you want to use it but you're afraid of wrecking it, buy this edition. the cards are larger and you will be able to tell when a card is in reverse due to the faerie wings but it's a negligible inconvenience. the quality of this set is better than any of the bicycle-card quality tarot decks you find at a barnes & noble. i'm a happy camper with this set.

This deck is incredibly beautiful, the cards are nice and thick, and it came with the perfect little booklet.

This deck is beautiful! I've seen people say that this deck is only for serious neopets fans, not people who take tarot seriously, but it literally says on the box it's directly based on the Rider Waite deck, therefor can be used by "serious tarot readers." Decks like this helped make tarot easier for me, and didn't just go by the books that came with them, I studied the Rider Waite meanings as well. I was a little disappointed about no item code, but not by the deck itself. Beautiful art, nice dimensions all in all love it.
