Fed up of burning my fingers and lots of splinters of egg shell on my plate - thought I'd try a gadget. This one seemed simple and inexpensive, so I ordered it out of curiosity not really believing it would work well. I tried this egg topper for my breakfast egg this morning - and it worked really well! I had to tap the egg twice (maybe with more practice I'll know better how far to pull back the spring), but it left a clean circular break in the shell. The shell been broken, it was easy to lift off the top by slicing through the remaining soft part of the egg with a knife. Impressed!

Summary: It’s a fun and useful little kitchen tool once you master the technique. Just don’t expect perfect café-style cuts every time—be ready to clean up some fine shell pieces afterward.

No more bits of shell in my boiled egg. Cuts clean as a whistle. I had to try it a few times to get the height to where I felt the spring right . Too high and it can be too much. It only took me a few times to work it out. Before this I tried the one which has a long handle but it was useless.

This product definitely does the job. It’s easy to use and easy to clean. But I find it leaves the edges really ragged so I need to pick the bits off it before I can dip soldiers. Using a knife is cleaner, but this tool saves me burning my fingers so I’ll keep using it. Maybe there’s a knack to it I haven’t worked out yet. If there is I’ll update my review

Too small cut, my smallest tea spoon bigger than hole made. does not leave a clean shell break, tiny shell gets mixed in with the cooked egg, save your money & spend a bit more for a better cutter

Fungerar bäst mot toppiga äggsidan. Inga skalpbitar med i omeletten. Man får dra och släppa ganska hårt för att få ett lock på ägget, kanske beroende på äggskalets tjocklek?
