PSIO 1.1 Audio and Visual Mind Stimulator

This production claims to be a brain machine but is nothing more than a color light generator. I sent the product back and if you are looking for true brainwave entrainment this product has no value. If you want a toy it is over priced.

Five stars because the visual entrainment part of this hardware is unbelievably good! The ear pieces are uncomfortable so I replaced them, and there are only a few choices of audio buds that come with 2.5-mm jacks. The idea behind audio-visual entrainment has been around a long time and is widely used as a meditation aid. This gizmo is great only because the visual display is so intricate and all-enveloping. I have used other gear and found the pulsing lights and the sound tend to work on me very well, and I got this simply to check it out, expecting it to maybe be a slight upgrade, a change in my routine. Wrong, it is entirely different. I had to stop using the audio portion as it is too stimulating. I am not a speed freak and listening to the sound that is provided by this system, one may as well mainline crystal. Five stars because the visual display system is a breakthrough. Zero Stars for the audio . 1 Star for its usefulness as a meditation crutch or relaxation aid (as it is currently shipped). Worth playing with simply because the visual effect is so striking, and the potential that implies is so entrancing. If you need help learning to meditate or in doing deep relaxation, avoid this device until the audio tracks are re-configured.
