Inductive Proximity Sensor
Product as described. Works very well with good sensing range and tested at both 12v and 24v DC operation.

Accurate and runs on 5v
Bought one of these to use as a sensor on my 3D printer. I have read a lot about inductive sensors needing 12v supply and needing voltage dividers to use on your printer without frying the chip so before doing any of that i powered this via a 5v USB supply, took measurements with a multimeter (Photos attached). I was getting 5.14v as supply, the sensor was reading 4.5v in the untriggred state (0.6v drop from diode/transistor switch is expected) and drops to 0v in the triggered state. Took some measurements of trigger distances and was getting a solid and repeatable 4mm with steel and about 2mm with aluminium (again exected given the lower inductive properties of aluminium). So this will work nicely as a 3d printer sensor, but you have to bear in mind the distances, if you are using an aluminium heat bed with a glass plate, then you aren't going to be able to get close enough to the bed to get a trigger, steel sheet on a magnetic bed won't be an issue. If you have something like painters tape on top of the alu bed, it should work as you should be able to get close enough but i haven't tested. Overall though it's a decent sensor, seems happy enough at 5v

Works for me at 5V
Plugged this straight into the endstop pin on my Ramps board, seems to power up fine and detects my aluminium heated bed at about 4mm. Since it's powered by 5v there was no need for a voltager divider/level shifter, which is handy.

Great as an Auto Bed Level for a 3D printer
I used this to create a bed level sensor for my 3D printer and it works extremely well. Certainly better than any of the 18mm ones I purchased previously. You’ll need a 5v BEC to convert the signal from 12v to 5v, but that’s all.

Does what it says on the tin
Inexpensive and fast delivery works exactly as it should

Incorrect marking , its a NC and should be a NO
You send me an NO but it’s a NC

All good
Great precision, small and easy to mount. Works well on 3d printer using thin spring steel bed

Will not work with a 3D printer having a Glass Bed
The Sensor will only detect metal from a couple of mm away. It will not work if you are using a glass bed with your 3D printer. Other than that it will work as advertised
