I gave the four stars because yes they do work, in that the sachets go hard to know they function, but I left one sachet out once to deoxidise the planet. But it still took a good whole day to go fully hard. So not the four hours they say they would fully work. But my vacuum sealed food absolutely lasted longer than without, so very happy with the product. However this is not a comparison to other manufacturers deoxidisers.

Those oxygen absorbers are great value for money. The fact they are individually wrapped is absolutely perfect. As Oxygen absorbers start to work as soon as they are exposed to oxygen, so if you purchase some that are sealed all together you are diminishing the ability of them to suck the oxygen, every time you open a packet and take one out. The fact that they are a 500cc for such a great price is a bonus. 500cc means they should be able to suck oxygen from 5lt volume Mylar bag or container. Brilliant buy!

I do not know if I just got a bad batch after reading all the glowing reviews, but these are really hit and miss. I used them with 1 quart mylar bags, and some worked almost immediately, but almost 1 in 4 didn't work at all. This meant I not only waisted an oxygen absorber, but also a mylar bag, as I ironed them after closing. Tried different types of food also, with the same result... some really quick, some slower, some days without doing anything. I also tried 2 per bag, same result again. I honestly wouldn't buy these again or recommend them, and would rather look for a different brand even if it is a bit more expensive. I give 3 stars for those that did work quickly, and for the fact that they are individually wrapped.
