This extend release Expectorant is great. The Cedar season has been at very high levels this year and this expectorant has been a great help in reducing congestion and discomfort. No bad taste or smell. Effective dosage.

The pills work fine for me. However, the packaging leaves something to be desired. The contents of the box is several individual sheets of blister packs. Getting each pill out of the blister packs takes quite a bit of force. I would much prefer it if the pills came in a bottle. Once you get the pill out, if you want to break it in half (to control your dosage more finely), well, good luck. I have found it very difficult to break the pills using only my hands. They'll break in a pill-slicer, of course, but that's an extra step.

This medication is my substitute for Mucinex. It is as effective and much cheaper. I have never been dissatisfied with this product.
