I have done 2 cars with this buffer so far. It's mostly comfortable and easy to use. There's a bit of vibration, and plenty of noise, but not more than you'd expect at this price point. It works well and has plenty of power to do the work it's supposed to do. Make sure to use good pads or you'll be disappointed; toss out these pads and get high quality pads. Recommended.

This is a remarkably complete kit for "dual-action" ("random-enough" motion) polishing. The tool itself is solidly-constructed. The kit comes with three hook-and-loop attachable pads (orange - yellow - white, from hardest to softest), a final shining towel and a wool mitten of sorts, two type of handles, spare brushes and a carrying case. Really everything you need except for whatever polishing compound, polish, and wax you might use for your specific purpose. I prefer the handle that is U-shaped vs the single-side handle. A dual-action buffer in general is a bit more forgiving than a single-action (rotary-only) buffer since it inherently moves the pad around a bit while it's rotating. Even so you have to be careful not to run it too fast, too hard in any one spot but it is less likely to damage the surface you're polishing than a single-action buffer. I used all three pads: orange with polishing compound, yellow with polish, and white after applying spray-on ceramic/wax hybrid. It did an excellent job in all three stages, removing swirls, water marks and scratches from the car. The white "wool" type pad is great for working in the ceramic/wax hybrid after applying it, since the spray stays a tiny bit oily for a while after applying it and therefore it's easy to smear. I used speed around 4 for compound and polish, 6 for the final white pad. The motor is the "universal motor" type, i.e. with brushes. The brushes on this motor are under the black doors on the sides of the tool. They appear to be solidly positioned, and seem to work well without getting too hot so they should last a long time in normal home use. This type of motor is generally powerful, hot, and a bit noisy but on this tool it seems to be plenty quiet and only got warm despite it being 100F outside while I was using it. The speed control is continuously-variable, and unlike other similar devices I've tried in the past, it seems to hold speed pretty constant regardless of load. The gearbox makes a little gear noise and appears to be packed with some light-colored grease, which you can get to by lifting out the shaft assembly that the pad is attached to. The cord is notably long-enough to be useful without an extension cord in some cases. I must say I'm happy with the results I got and pretty impressed at the value delivered here for the price; this will be my long-term go-to polisher for cars and more!

love this buffer. Makes polishing my boat much easier than the old drill attachments Ive been using. Really shines up the black striping and metal flaking. Careful tho when running at high sppeds cause you will burn through so take your time when using.
