I have a Super White 2.5 gen Tacoma, and had managed to crack one of my tail lights. The OEM replacement from Toyota per light housing is more than twice what the pair of these cost. I figured I'd roll the dice since these have fairly good ratings.While the images DO show it as having an all red lens (I believe there are options for lens colors) I guess I'd forgotten or didn't remember that the OEM lenses were clear/chrome in some areas (most notably the upper signal and the brake light circle). When they arrived I immediately noted how very different they looked and wasn't sure I'd like them. As it happens when mounted it's a much cleaner look and they're plenty bright.One very notable difference is the brake light itself. The OEM uses a LED system here and this light uses a more traditional incandescent bulb (though you could use an LED bulb that plugs into the socket, which I will probably do). This will create a delta when you go to buy replacement bulbs and does introduce a potential failure point due to corrosion or socket damage/deformation. I don't think either of those are any particular issue, but will absolutely require replacements more frequently than the OEM unit would. The good news is that the incandescent bulbs and even LED bulbs are quite inexpensive and the housings are very easy to change (three 10mm bolts which are easily accessed just inside the bed and visible when the tailgate is dropped).I see no obvious quality difference between the OEM and these lenses, in fact when I pulled both of my OEM lights there was something fairly heavy loose and rattling around inside the housings despite both of them working correctly. I am impressed overall, and these housings are a very good value and, in my opinion, a better looking tail light housing than the OEM.

In the product description on the amazon site it states "Light Source: Halogen" These are not Halogen bulbs, just standard bulbs. I check all bulbs before replacing and all worked fine. The Passenger unit was missing the bolt mounting plate so had to use the one off the original. But overall, was very pleased with them and they easily mounted and worked 100%. I went back and forth on LED but opted to not go that route as those C-Looking parts sounded like they were soldered in. I may eventually replace these with Screw-In LED's But all that is on me. These units look nice, fit well and were easy to install.

Bought one of these based upon half decent reviews and paid the price on the road. Worked fine after initial installation, but on a major road trip a couple weeks later the main tail and brake light bulb kept falling out of the socket into the light lens....tried shimming it to no avail. Resigned myself to having only one tail light (can you say cop-magnet?), but then a few days later that bum light started eating fuses and blacking out the other tail light. Had to disconnect the new light assembly and replace it with a much more expensive dealer part to get home! There's a lesson here folks, and it's buy cheap at your own risk! Tried to give 0 stars but web site won't allow!

This was a quality product, comes with 3 lamps for brake, back up, and running lights. Very resonable price. If you are very particular about getting an exact color match, you might have to replace both at the same time. I had previously ordered a tail light replacement for the passenger side, and this one does not exactly match that one, but it is so close, and looks and functions as good as the original equipment. I can live with it being ever so slightly different. The passenger side replacement was from a different supplier, so just make sure you get both from the same seller.

Great fit and easy install, just take care with wire connections. Oem part can be tricky to remove at the wire connections.
