This does not seem to be tool steel. It stripped out with little force probably about 30 ft lbs and when I went to cut the splines a little higher to make it workable for the job the cutter cut through it like it was mild steel. I would not recommend this socket unless you are doing very low torque applications.

used it to remove a rusted spindle on the front knuckle of an Audi Q5. worked perfectly.

Considering this socket is likely to be used in automotive applications, it would be nice if it were a little shorter in length. That said, with some cursing, it got the job done.

I used this tool to remove cylinder head bolts on a toyota tundra. Which are extremely hard to remove. In the process of removing, it did round off the tools teeth, but I reached out and they sent me a replacement, no questions asked. Very satisfied with the company and product.
