prAna Living Women's Mariska Jacket

Cute lightweight jacket, appropriate for fall/winter in the south, made out of light sweatshirt material. Wanted to love it, but the fit just wasn't right for me. I tried a S and XS, which were quite similar in size. The band detail around the waist does not nip in enough--seemingly not at all on my pear-shaped frame. Prana, if you're going to draw attention to the waist with a detail like this, it should have the effect of making the waist look smaller or accentuate an already defined waist. It just made me look big and frumpy. The shoulders/upper back area also seemed a bit tight in proportion to the rest of the jacket. Very cute idea, but not well executed and not worth ~$90.

Bummer! Out of the bag, the color is NOTHING like it looked on the computer (or on my cell phone, so it's not a screen setting thing). I ordered the "plum red" which looked like a cheerful rose-fuchsia, but turned out to be a dull raspberry. I ordered a medium, I am a long/lean size 6 with broad bony shoulders, lean waist, and usually wear a medium. The fit was very large and bulky through the body, so not flattering. I could grab a huge hand full of fabric at the waist. For once the length and sleeve length were good and it wasn't tight across the shoulders. I would re-try in a small if the color was more vibrant.

I love the looks of this jacket. The overall fit is fine until you get to the sleeves. They are so tight and the cuffs around the wrist are oddly small. I couldn't possibly wear anything long-sleeved under this coat. I'd order a size larger but then the rest of the jacket wouldn't fit. I'm bummed that I can't keep it because its so well-made and otherwise attractive.

The blue is a grey-blue and is sometimes difficult to match with other blues. However the details are unusual and flattering. The collar feels like a scarf when the top button is used. I like the length, the warmth, and the big pockets. The price is a bit high, but I was able to get mine used in excellent condition. I would like one in another color.

Very soft, comfy but flattering fit. A little looser than I'd imagined, and flappy when unbuttoned, but the collar is so cute and overall it looks great on those of us with a little curve. Great sweatshirt that I can actually wear to work. Will also make a great under layer for my nice coat.

I tried this on at a local sporting goods store and thought it was warm and professional but not over the top. It is very simple but gives me shape and has very nice sized pockets. I am not sure if all of the colors are as professional looking; the blue and brown may be a bit casual but the black and white are likely the best for work to evening. I recommend the black color.

I ordered this jacket in the winter white color, size medium, and it's very stylish and warm. I wear it as a "coat" dress - with a camisole or silk or cotton tee underneath paired with leggings or tights. I added a wide belt around the waist to cinch the waist line a little and it makes a dressy outfit. Great purchase!

Good jacket around 50F and up. I'm on a small side and it fits me perfectly. The style is also very pretty and look very much like the pictures show.
