This gel works beautifully when paired with the right routine. I have been using this since the past 7 months. I use it after applying the Cantu Curl Custard, and together they give me soft, defined clumps with minimal frizz. The gel itself is lightweight, has a mild scent, and forms a nice hard cast that’s easy to scrunch out with a microfiber towel once fully dry.That said, don’t expect magic if you use this gel alone. Your results will depend heavily on your full routine, including your shampoo/conditioner, styling products, drying method, and even the weather. For example, I shampoo and condition with the L'Oréal Hyaluron Moisture range, apply the Cantu custard and then this gel on wet hair, then wear a satin bonnet for 30–40 mins before air drying completely without touching my curls.If you use this gel as part of a solid routine, it can really help define and hold your curls without weighing them down.On days 2 & 3, I wet my palms and use praying hands method to activate the products and then put it in a bonnet for 30 mins followed by air drying.

The product is almost glue like. Works best on wet hair, not damp, not dry, water dripping wet hair. Once you put on a generous amount, it will not budge. But it also dries out your hair like anything. Not recommended for people with already dry and frizzy hair

Great product, comes in good packaging. The hold lasts for around 3 days if you take care of you hair we'll. Has good moisture and has gel like texture.

This Arata gel didn’t sit well with my thin, curly, lightweight hair.I generally don’t use hair gel as my hair is thin and it easily stores buildup. I ordered it after hearing some good reviews but a small amount made my hair frizzy.There’s little scent to it, texture is smooth and a small amount is enough.

The product is below average for holding curls. Worst part is that after applying the curl gets frizzy withn 2 hours specially if you are living in India humid weather. Also the product left a residue on the hair which makes the hair rough dry and frizzy so much that you can't even comb through hair. Worst one.
