This is an awesome tool!.
I bought this to remove some frost damaged bricks from a wall. When used with a high quality SDS hammer drill, it will remove bricks from a wall by chiselling out the mortar course, which it does with ease!. Try not to go too deep with it, as it can get stuck in the wall, if you just run it up and down the mortar course, and take a little out at a time you’ll make good progress with it. I have taken many bricks out with it, and it still performs as well as the first time I used it!. Yes!, I would recommend it, and would buy it again!.

works well, may cause some damage when used with block-work.
Had to replace a window with a wall and wanted to stitch the new blocks into the existing block-work. I have tried using angle grinders and hand chisels in previous jobs and it has always taken ages or I've damaged everything in the process. Having read various reviews I choose this to partner my SDS drill . It is very quick to remove the mortar. However, in removing some of the mortar it did damage some of the blocks - I guess they're much softer than bricks. The damage wasn't major and the blocks came out relatively easily.

Does what it claims
Armeg G230B4BC 230mm Carbide Tipped SDS Plus Brick Removing Chisel. Have only used it to remove 30 or 40 vertical mortar joints between concrete blocks so far but it has made light work of that. So far the 3 carbide teeth are completely intact and no great signs of wear. Recommended

Great tool for brickwork
Bought this tool for chiselling out a couple of bricks and replacing them. Very easy to use, took only a few minutes to loosen the bricks carefully and replace them. Would highly recommend both this supplier and also the tool.

Worked as stated. Quickly and surgically removed 6 badly spalled bricks from a chimney without even shattering the frost damaged bricks I was removing. I barely put any weight behind the tool and it was effortless. It literally took only mins to complete the task.

Needed to remove some bricks that were originally installed above my fireplace as mini-shelves. There were two mini-shelves jutting out above our fireplace opening. They were preventing the mounting of any of big picture frames and/or a TV. It was easy enough to find a masonry bit that was long enough to drill holes through the mortar surrounding these bricks. The bit had to account for the width of the mini-shelves and the depth of the mortar. I ended up using a 12" long 1/4 carbide hammer drill bit. However, it was hard to find an adequately long SDS-plus mortar knife/chisel. As a last resort, I was going to use a plugging chisel and hammer, but even then most plugging chisels are not that long Found this item mentioned on YouTube and after finding the specs, ordered it. It ships from the U.K. and took about 10 days. The chisel blade is approx. 5" long, more than enough for my purposes. The chisel is a bit expensive, but I'm happy with the results and the time savings. The remaining mortar was removed quickly. Minor chips in surrounding bricks.
