This solar charger is amazing! It really works on my generator battery which was so low I couldn’t start my generator by pushing the button. And there’s no way I can start it by pulling on the cord. After a good day of sun (6-7 hrs) on the panel my generator started up beautifully! I love how the unit shows battery charge level. Pictures show my temporary set up to see if it would work. Now I’ll get it mounted in its permanent location. And since I have 2 generators I’ll be buying a second charging system!

This panel installation was incredibly straightforward. It comes with all the necessary mounting hardware and even includes inserts if needed for your specific setup. The bolts that secure the panel to the bracket feature wing nuts, making it effortless to attach to the bracket. However, since I had to install the panel approximately 25 feet away from my generator, I had to use an extension cord for the connection. This added a bit of complexity to the process. To make matters worse, the extension cable had the positive and negative reversed, so I had to create a small conversion cable to correct the polarity. After installing the panel and charge controller, I confirmed that it was indeed generating power. Considering the current winter season and the low angle of the sun, I’m getting 18 watts from the panel. Will have to wait and see what the summer season brings. It is keeping my generator battery charged and I have seen that it does automatically stop charging when the battery is fully charged. I’ve been using this system for two weeks now, and it has been functioning flawlessly without any issues.

Very pleasantly surprised with this charger. Bought it to keep my boat batteries charged up and it is doing a great job. So much easier that using the extension cord and battery charger. Just hardwired the end of wires with the rings to the battery and did get a cord extension so the wires would hang outside of the cover so I can easily see the status of the charge module. This was my first (& second & third) Solar panel and definitely aided in my learning experience! The 30W panel with MPPT worked exactly as advertised. It trickle charged my LiFePO4 battery as expected, and the easy mount was great to work with! So why 4 stars? First, there are no specifications provided for the MPPT controller. Granted, support was amazing and sent me the full spec sheet but some of that information should be included here, up-front. Primarily, the description needs to include what the max solar load the MPPT controller can support (50W). This leads me to my second reason -- there is very little room to grow! If you're looking for that slow trickle charger with manual feedback, this is perfect! However, I found that, in real-world use, I needed 80-100W of solar power to do what I needed so this controller just wouldn't cut it for me (had to buy another unit instead). Overall, while knowing what I know now, I would have never purchased this FOR MY PROJECT. But it doesn't change the facts about this unit -- it is a good product with a great company backing it (I should know - I have 2x 30W panels and a 20W panel in use!). Summary: Pros: - Good build. - Long power cords with SAE connectors. - Lightweight, angled mounting hardware. - MPPT controller works as advertised. - Great for trickle-charging batteries [for long-term storage]. - GREAT customer support! Cons: - No real room for growth. - Company doesn't sell JUST panels (must be in a kit). - Controller doesn't offer any remote monitoring.

Installed on my dump trailer to keep the battery charged. Seems to be working very well. Ive never had to charge the battery and for about a year it reports that my battery is at a constant full charge. Fairly easy install.

I use this to maintain the battery in my car. It works exactly as intended and is very good quality. Side note: if you have a lead-acid battery use the controller that comes packaged with this unit. Don't upgrade to the more expensive MPPT controller as it has no lead-acid mode. I personally bought the optional upgraded MPPT controller and it never got the battery fully charged. Most likely because of no lead-acid setting. If you have any other battery except for lead-acid by all means by the more expensive MPPT controller.

Hooked it up to my UTV stored in a shed with no heat and no electricity, knowing a snowstorm was coming and was going to need to plow my drive and road. With the ambient temperature falling below zero I needed to make sure it would start. The charger showed green, fully charged after one day of east sun only. My UTV started at -1 degree and would almost certainly not have started if this was not hooked up to it. Extremely pleased.

Received March 6, 2024. I have been using a number of different solar panels over the years, for my vehicles, motorhome & 5th wheel. I am impressed by the continual improvement in the quality of these panels and their accessories. The panel itself is very good quality and well finished. For the price I paid for this panel; the cables, charge controller and battery clips are all high standard. The cables are thick and not the usual cheap flimsy ones you receive at this price point. I am using it to keep my minivan battery fully charged (as it is winter). It took just 10 minutes to set up (including attaching the useful stand). I put it on the roof of my van facing the sun and saw an immediate increase in the battery voltage. So far, I am giving it 5 stars. I will do an update next month on its performance. Hope that helps others. Thank you, seller. 6-month Update: The solar panel has continued to perform well; I am very pleased with this purchase.
