Shipped directly from China. Took a while to get to USA. Arrived in small flat box l. This is actually a good quality chair/ladder stool. The instructions are in 100% Chinese, so it was a challenge to put together but if you look at the pictures closely, and you have half a brain, you could figure it out. Hint: also look at the pictures on Amazon and zoom in to see where some of the hardware goes. Attached a are a picture of the included instructions. When you are done, I would recommend you buy some small round 1” stick on, felt bumpers to protect the floor.

This chair/step-ladder came with instructions that are in Chinese. Why does Amazon sell such an item to its US customers? It arrived about one month after ordering. More importantly, after assembly, the step-ladder function does not work. When you unfold the chair to turn it into a step-ladder, it wobbles and is totally incapable of performing this second function. I have decide to return the item.

The stool/chair works well and it was easy to assemble. It's color came close to matching the color scheme already existing in the room it went into. The only thing that I can think of to possibly improve is maybe offering the choice of a not prefinished item or offering different wood species. That's probably not logistically feasible though.

Product has worked very well for what I needed it to do.

The instructions are in Chinese. If you are intuitive and can make sense of small pictures then you can probably put the chair together. There are not pictures for the last hook so you have to look for some very small holes in a very awkward place. Once put together it functions like the picture.
