Like squatting with heavy weight, but hate compromising your form because your mental load is focused on "Good lord, stop this from digging into my shoulders PLEASE" and the like? This is for you. The quality is very nice, and cinches around the bar readily and stays put with the straps given. The comfort is massively improved as well, as the last thing I want to be anxious about when I have 335 lbs on my shoulders is the bar pinching my traps and getting worried I'm gonna drop the damn thing. Don't be surprised if you push a new PR with the newfound comfort, as I pushed to 345 comfortably after some nervous 335s without it, since you can finally focus on form completely. Unless you're a genetic freak and can squat enough to somehow compress the foam with 600+ lbs of weight, or make the mysterious choice of using an axle bar for squats (it is made for 1 inch bars only, not 2 inches like your typical axle), this is a great piece of gear to make your life easier for only $10 or less. The catch, though? Now you REALLY have no excuse to skip leg day.

I use this barbell pad every time I squat or do hip thrusts, and it makes a huge difference. Bought 2 for my gym.. no complaints! Does its job! Good high quality padding! Not like skinny cheap one .. I had 360 lbs on for hip thrusts and no pinching or pain! I suggest every gym rat get one.

It gets the job done. Nothing fancy or special but good value for the price. The cushion is thick enough to offset the weight of the barbell, although I haven’t tested it on heavy weight since I’m just starting my weightlifting journey. For a beginner this was just what I needed

Cushioning on this is great, not too hard not too soft. I can’t feel the barbell at all on my neck / shoulders so the protection is great. Size is perfect not too thick and not too long. The pad does its job it functions perfectly. There’s no Velcro needed for this, highly recommend.

Came as described! Works perfect for my hip thrusts... super padded for great support and with the velcro straps it fits the bar nicely., plus the purple color is cute! Quality has been great so far.
