Q: Will this pump provide enough aeration for a 50,000 pond?

If the pond is not more than 8' deep this pump will be a reasonable choice for pond aeration and circulation from a single diffuser in the middle of a more or less round pond. For a great low pressure diffuser to go along with this pump we recommend the Matala MDB11, which manages from 40 to 80 liters of air well and is self-cleaning. However, if your pond is an oblong shape or divided by an island or other obstacles and requires two diffusers, or if you simply want a really strong movement of air and water, we would recommend a larger pump. Dividing a 60 liter pump between more than one diffuser will probably not provide the results you are looking for. Q: Does it come with the alarm connection fitting and the new safety switch?

Q: How long is the power cord?

Q: How well does this pump perform in heat? (110 degree weather)

It has not gotten to 110 degrees where we live, but the pump has worked fine during our hot humid summers, in south Louisiana. I clean the filter every month, and I replace my filter every year. I put my air pump on top of two cinder blocks because the septic tank area does flood a lot. It does get evening shade from the house. Hope this answer was helpful.
