Review: The Best Laptop Under 1 Lacs In 2023 🗿 - I’ve been using the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 for a couple of months now, and overall, it’s a solid gaming laptop with a few minor drawbacks. Here’s my breakdown: Pros: 1. Powerful Performance: With its Intel Core i5 and NVIDIA RTX 4050, this laptop handles most games and demanding tasks effortlessly. Even newer titles run smoothly on high settings. 2. Display Quality: The 16-inch WUXGA display is sharp, vibrant, and with a 165Hz refresh rate, it makes gaming and media consumption a delight. The colors really pop, and everything looks crisp. 3. Cooling System: The cooling is pretty impressive. Even during extended gaming sessions, it doesn’t overheat too much, which is a major plus compared to other gaming laptops I’ve tried. 4. Solid Build Quality: It feels durable and well-built. The keyboard is comfortable to type on, and the RGB lighting adds a nice touch. 5. Price for Performance: Compared to other gaming laptops in its range, you get great specs for the price. It feels like good value for the performance you get. Cons: 1. Battery Life: Like many gaming laptops, the battery life isn’t great. Don’t expect to get more than 3-4 hours of light use without being plugged in, and even less while gaming. 2. Portability: It’s a bit bulky and heavy. If you’re planning to carry it around regularly, you might feel the weight. 3. Fan Noise: While the cooling is good, the fans can get quite loud during intensive tasks or gaming, which can be a bit distracting if you’re in a quiet environment. 4. Speakers: The built-in speakers are average at best. You’ll definitely want to use headphones for a better audio experience. Conclusion: If you’re looking for a high-performance gaming laptop and can deal with the average battery life and weight, the Acer Predator Helios Neo 16 is a fantastic option. It offers excellent gaming performance, a great display, and solid value for its price. Review: The BEST laptop around 1 lakh! - I was researching for about an year and when the 40 series laptops started coming in, i knew this was a beast and went ahead and bought it. I bought it for under 1 lakh with exchange and card discounts. Pros : 1. Processor is 13500HX which beats 12th gen i9. Future proof and can handle all the tasks with ease. Writing this review after a month of usage 2. GPU RTX 4050 : it is getting better with each driver updates and is able to outperform other 3070 ti laptops. Plus with DLSS 3 it gives you more than 165 fps in most games which support it which is in fact the future of all games. Ive seen reviews with raw performance and i dont know why do you not use a feature if you have been given that is DLSS 3. Also as the GPU is full 140w tgp hence will get better over time with updates. 3. Memory : it has 16gb DDR5 ram and SSD read speed is around 7000 which i did not expect, its on par with samsung SSDs. 4. Screen : the screen is 16 inch WUXGA which is good and also has the best colours 100% sRGB. Thermals are great and the screen can be lifted with one finger. Also the keypad has a nice feel along with a big touchpad. Battery is also great for a gaming laptop, around 4-5 hours of usage if you are not gaming Cons : 1. The back of the laptop is a fingerprint magnet, though you could clean it with a microfiber cloth. 2. The fans get loud if you run on turbo mode and yes it feels like it’s raining outside, that level of sound. But thats what keeps the thermals always below 80. I run on performance mode which is a balance of fan and the usage. 4050 isnt anyway running full wattage now so we dont need to run it for getting more performance right now but would help in future. Overall i feel good about the purchase and will update the review if i face any issues, none so far in a month. Acer predator series is underrated and should take the market this year with the great pricing.

Good Gaming Laptop, Bad keyboard, sound and Battery life
Have been using this laptop for over an year now primarily for gaming only. Overall gaming performance is very good.. its able to handle most of recent titles at high and ultra settings. Major positives - Superb display and gaming grpahics is excellent. Build is good as well and overall looks decent. Major drawbacks - 1. Keyboard is very cramped up. I have been using Dell earlier and shifting to acer keyboard was very tough... you can't get good speed when using this keyboard for work/typing as its lot smaller and keys are congested (I now use external keyboard). 2. Battery life is not long even on efficiency settings and without gaming. So you would need to keep charger connected and that is as well not travel friendly. you can get upto 4hr only browsing on charger 3. very heavy laptop.. but guess this is expected with high end cpu and graphics card 4. Sound isn't decent enough and you can feel it in games which support good sounds like 'Hogwarts Legacy'. But this problem is with any laptop now-a-days. Some people mentioned trouble with predator sense app but I havn't faced any and with no game I need to go to turbo mode. Laptop handles most games without going to turbo. All in all its a good laptop except keyboard. Most will use larger monitor (i use 27'') and external keyboard setup so keyboard may not be issue unless travelling.

Great Laptop at this Price
Everything works perfectly. SPECS- Intel i5-13500hx 16gb ddr5 ram Rtx 4050 PREDATOR SENSE APP- It's bit unoptimised GAMES STATS- gives 100+ fps in 1080p in lot of games with dlss frame generation on.. Blender works perfectly and for game developers , it can do entry level game development at charm RTX 4050 is future proof for 1080p level gaming with dlss and frame generation. Might have to lower some settings to play games in 2024-25 considering the vram requirements are exceeding 6gb ram. Starfield requires minimum of 8 GB of vram(although I played it) HERE ARE SOME FPS of some games I played STARFIELD (HIGH SETTINGS| FSR2. 1)-75 Fps LAST OF US(HIGH SETTINGS| DLSS 2.0 Performance)- 75-80 FPS SPIDERMAN(VERY HIGH SETTINGS| RTX ON VERY HIGH)- 65 FPS CYBERPUNK(ULTRA SETTINGS|RTX OFF| DLSS FG)- 100FPS SHADOW OF TOMB RAIDER ( VERY HIGH PRESET| DLSS ON PERFORMANCE)- 100 FPS THERMALS- The thermals are perfect. The GPU temp doesn't rise about 70°C and cpu temp below 80°C. DISPLAY -Its perfect.. colors are bright and enough to do photo editing and video editing.... Ports - Works perfectly and they are backed with 2x thunderbolt ports. STORAGE- It's a bit underwhelming that at this price we get only 512 gb. ONLY 3-4 games will fillup the whole drive. I know that it's expanding to 4tb by 2 additional slots of nvme m2 slots but still... KEYBOARD & TRACKPAD - Keyboard is great. It has a great tactile feedback to it. Mousepad is big enough and feels smooth to hover around. BUILD QUALITY - Build quality is great. The The laptop seems to be working perfectly. But i would suggest to buy extended warranty support for this laptop. I will update some more information about this laptop time to time. Thanks for taking a time to read this.

Things you want to know before buying this.
Update:- It has been 2 months, and Acer support has not yet fixed my laptop; they don't even know the cause of the issue. This has been the worst customer support experience I have ever encountered from any company. I have only used my laptop for 10 days, and since then, it has been in their service center. They haven't resolved the problem or provided a replacement. It's evident they don't care about their customers. To make matters worse, their support team and engineers have further worsened the laptop's condition. In conclusion, I strongly advise against choosing Acer; you should consider other companies to avoid risking your hard-earned money _________________________________ Screen: Some people may underestimate the resolution of 1980x1200 pixels, but it's important to consider the screen size. This 16-inch laptop offers a pixel density of 142PPI, which is noteworthy (for reference, a 28-inch 4K monitor only has a PPI of 157). If you're looking to play games at high FPS in max. settings, this display is perfect for you. Processor: In my opinion, the i5 13th generation version is the best choice as it surpasses the power of my desktop CPU, the Ryzen 7 5800X. This was quite surprising to me. With this powerful processor, you can perform tasks ranging from 4K video editing to playing AAA title games. Graphics: I opted for the RTX 4050 over the RTX 3060 because of the RTX 4050's superior temperature management and the advantages of DLSS3. Thermals: This laptop boasts exceptional thermal performance. However, in turbo mode, the fans can become quite loud, so it may be necessary to use headphones. Speakers: As expected, laptop speakers are not usually outstanding, and unfortunately, the speakers on this laptop are subpar. They lack sufficient volume, especially when the fans are running at maximum RPM (around 6500-6900 RPM). In such cases, external speakers or headphones are recommended. Pros: - The trackpad is highly responsive and enjoyable to use. - Minimal to no screen bleeding. - Impressive 165 Hz refresh rate. - Brightness of 400 nits. - Battery life during normal use is excellent compared to other gaming laptops. - The combination of the i5 13th gen processor and RTX 4050 graphics is perfect for 1920x1200 resolution. You can play games at maximum settings and still achieve high FPS. - The laptop's thermal management is exceptional. - The RGB keyboard adds a nice aesthetic touch. - Two thunderbolt ports, which is a great feature. Cons: - The speakers are notably poor and lack sufficient volume. - The CPU fan produces a high-pitched sound at idle (1700 RPM), which can be quite annoying, especially in quiet environments. - I am currently experiencing an issue with my laptop. After closing the lid and reopening it after 3-5 minutes, the display does not turn on. I am in communication with Acer customer support, but they lack technical expertise. Even though they offer on-site warranty service, their engineers are not knowledgeable about the issue, and they have asked me to visit their service centre for further inspection. Therefore, it is important to thoroughly test the device during the replacement period, as claiming warranty service can be quite challenging.

satisfied
i have been using this laptop for all my works and games for the past year and i had no problem with it so far, great performance for this price. Monitor: quality is good, can enjoy very high quality movies with 10bit rate (need to change bit rate in setting to 10bit, since for the sake of power saving its at 8bit by default). Also the max brightness of monitor is perfect too. Gaming: Is doing a good job and since it has 40 series graphic card, with the help of DLSS and Frame Generation can play most AAA games at +90 frames, and for competitive games like call of duty, PUPG, Dota2 etc can play easily at 165 frame rate. Fans: the fans are very strong and at full speed make a lot of noise BUT drop temperature a lot on CPU & GPU. i enjoy the quiet mode of it at night since it doesn't make any sound at all. (if you live in hot places, better buy a cooling pad) It has a lot of ports and very good potential and space to increase RAM and SSD for future. The build is sturdy and cool, have been happy for my purchase so far for the past year.

Budget Beast
I upgraded from a ryzen 3 2200u laptop from 2018 so this CPU is almost 10 times faster in multicore benchmarks as compared to my last laptop. My basic work flow involves lots of CAD and FEM based applications which requires lots of CPU power specially multi-core performance as all these apps are hyper-threaded. Came today and working great so far. Will outline my observations based on different aspects of this laptop. CPU:- Its fast. very fast. The geekbench 6 scores are almost within 95-97% of M2 Pro CPU in Macbook Pro 2022 which costs about 2 lakhs. Display:- Very good. big screen helps a lot in design based works. its is also not reflective. heat:- It has only gotten a bit warm but not overly hot in my use cases. I am not going to play games on it so cant comment on that. Webcam:- Totally disappointed. In the amazon advert it was showing FHD camera but its a 720p crap. The quality is really bad. also no slider to close it. battery:- Well i had kept my expectation at a minimum as I bought it as a portable desktop replacement (I have a dual CPU 44 core, 256 GB ram workstation in office already) when i travel. I expected it to last 2-2.5 hours only but to my surprise even with this heavy configuration its giving me 4-5 hours of battery while doing moderate task(setting up the laptop, installing multiple applications). I feel it can give 6-7 hours on very light workload which is way more than I expected. What i liked the most:- Lots of connectivity options including 3 USB A ports and 2 thunderbolt 4 ports and 1 Full size HDMI port, RJ45 and a 3.5 mm headphone jack. This laptop is simply functional. What I didn't like:- Very bad quality webcam. Speakers are not that impressive but i mostly use headphones so not much of an issue. Will update after a month of uses. Update:- After 3-4 days of general uses there are some observations Battery:- Was curious and hence run various battery tests to see how it actually performs. Case 1:- Prime Video movie at best quality at 30% brightness(which is actually quiet good for indoor uses) and speakers at 25% volume battery came down from 79 to 60 hence it can play up to 5 hours of video streaming over wifi. Case 2:- Turned off wifi and blutooth and run a 1 hour 1080P 2.5 GB local video clip at the same settings as in last case. battery was down from 84 to just 74. that means it could easily play up to 9 hours of offline video. that is really amazing considering the screen size and CPU. way more than what i expected when i decided to go intel instead of AMD. I was confused between this and HP omen 16 (6800h and 3070ti) which was slightly cheaper at 115000 Rs during the sale. I am so glad i went for this one as i don't play games and for my current workloads it is such a snappy system. In general workloads with wifi on browsing it lasts on average 5 - 6 hours. I dont charge it beyond 85 unless i have to work on heavy modelling works where heavy cpu power is needed. wish there was a switch to turn off battery charging at 85 like in some laptops in this price range. edit:- it does have a battery limiter option inside acer care app. it even works when laptop is off to limit the charge at 80%. edit after 2 weeks.- Laptop was freezing sometimes totally with only mouse working. Looked online and found out that this problem was occurring with all 40 series NVIDIA GPU based laptops. with the latest driver update on 30 May the problem is gone. Also comparing this side by side to my old laptop the importance of a high refresh rate screen becomes apparent. It just feels a lot smoother.

Monster
This is my fist laptop and i am a tech guy just loved it overall, it nails the looks for a gamming laptop, it is pretty sturdy in terms of quality, the thermals are out of the world it won' go above 70 degree in high performance to Battery life is good but could have been better if you are using it for content consumption battery is good It is a little bit more on the heavy side so its hard to carry withh the whole charger But performance wise no issues smoothness is over the top works in every field and it is a beast
