This has been far more useful that I had anticipated. I originally bought this so I could attach a smart phone onto a tripod for filming and to provide a method to mount a microphone too. In that regard, this was a perfect solution, it's really sturdy and it's a breeze to setup and remove again. What I hadn't appreciated is just how useful it would be to film on the go too. It makes filming with a smartphone so much easier, giving a far more secure grip and thus removing shake. It also removes risk of my fingers accidentally slipping over the lens. Both these points also leave me more confident to focus on what's being films more than how I'm moving/filming it. More recently I've also been using this to take photos too. On walks with the family, I can take a mini tripod and this rig, which enables me to take timer shots with the smart phone. If I'm walking with a rucksack, the rig doesn't take up too much room or, if the bag is full to the brim, I just attach to the outside of the bag by slipping a strap through the rig. One warning though. The spring loaded mount for the phone is really strong, but not fool proof. On one occasion I may have been swinging it a little too liberally as I walked and my phone decided to part ways with the mount. Simply put, if you're not using the phone, take it out of the rig. Overall I've been really pleased with my purchase. It's a quality product.

Looks and feels good. Thought it was made out of metal but that’s on my part. Easy to hold and stabilize the phone real good. If you are looking for something cheap and easy this is for you. I also love that you can add microphones and light to it. Makes it more useful and awesome to use.

One of my pet hates is unsteady footage. Sure many phones, uncluding my own, now have features to reduce the signs of shake when you are recrding a video, but it is still possible to spot the signs if you know what to look for. What helps is something that allows to to hold the phone with both hands in a place where you can better see it. In this respect, this works very well. The additional support that this provides for an external mic or light is valuable for myself. I prefer an external mic for the improved sound quality and this makes a huge difference. In addition, being able to place this rig on a tripod or monopod really helps too. I lent it to a friend for a few hours so that she could record some things, having given her the bar minimum of instructions and she loved it too.

Is Exactly what you think it is , seems lite, but is strong and good weight when everything is mounted...happy with it ..straight forward and cheap

I used this as a cheap way to get started creating YouTube content using my mobile phone camera (Pixel 3xl). I really like how ergonomic and light weight this is to hold when not mounted to a tripod. The phone is held very securely and cannot see it dropping unless down to human error when inserting or removing the phone. The most surprising thing for me was the different perspective it gives you when you are recording by being able to hold the device more steadily and have better perception of the wider environment you are recording in. In summary a great, cost effective way to get more out of your phone camera.

The hot shoe mount works well, the light stays firmly in place and doesn't wobble. The switch on mine is dodgy, works 60% of the time, with the other 40% the switch needs wobbling a bit and then it works. Probably should have returned it but I couldn't be bothered as it does work and it's not an expensive item

I was looking for a nice and strong support to connect my phone and to my monitor to record my videos. Was a nice sensation when I saw the product in my hand. Very well made. Good raw materials and very readable without breaking the connections and forcing the positions of my equipment. It just adapt perfectly to the movements. I will recommend and buy another time a few more for my studio colleges.

I don’t usually write reviews, but felt like I needed to for this item. I was in two minds to buy it (I have £200+ DSLR gimbal that takes ages setting up and getting right) this rig however is straightforward, clip your phone in and away you go. My clips have no shaky movement in! I only purchased it because I needed to mount a mic into the coldshoe section, but this allows me to mount the mic and then mount onto my tripod as well, perfect for blogging. Everyone’s been really impressed and now wants to borrow it! Don’t hesitate to buy! For £15 you can transform your videography into something special!!

Aujourd'hui vous n'avez plus aucune excuse de filmer ou de prendre des photos verticalement comme on le voit encore de trop sur youtube et consorts ou lors de la fancy-fair des enfants. Filmer à l'horizontale bon sang, vos écrans sont en 16/9 ou 16/10 et sont faits pour être remplis par une image. C'est incroyable qu'il y ai encore des gens qui n'ont toujours pas compris cela. Ce petit rig tout léger vous permet de tenir enfin votre smartphone d'une main ou deux sans que vous nous fassiez du "shaking cam" qui m'énerve au plus haut point et qui donne la gerbe surtout quand vous avez un écran géant comme c'est mon cas. Vous vous surprenez à virevolter dans toutes les pièces puis dans le jardin avec une aisance et une fluidité que vous n'aviez jamais eu. Ce bidule est démoniaque littéralement. Il est parfaitement conçu (recommandé par amazon) pour supporter deux lampes à led et un micro. Il est capable de fixer à la perfection tous les smartphones (j'ai un LG V30) et s'installe sans problèmes sur tous les pieds(il se fixe sur les trois que je possède en tout cas). A détenir impérativement dans sa collection de matériel.

It is pretty good value for money. From the pictures I thought it would be bigger but it’s fine, fits my phone well and it’s easy to transport. The downside is that the brackets on top are pretty close so even my small mic (rode videomicro - best choice! Just get sc7 cable otherwise it doesn’t work!) throws a shadow with my video light (which is like a phone sized led panel), maybe with smaller video light it works better, but it depends on what you need it for. I record sports outdoors at a slightly bigger distance to get the full body in the picture so I needed a stronger light source. The clamp for the phone on the bracket is really good! The handles are nice. The only downside is the build quality, which is not bad, but the plastic it’s made from doesn’t feel like it’s gonna last very long especially the bracket slots. Again, it’s not poor quality, it’s just not as strong as it could be, but than again for this price it’s still great! If you shoot action or wanna use it frequently I would recommend spending a bit extra and buying the metal version of it.

Excelente estabilizador práctico y con una buena construcción de material

Ganska mycket pengar för lite järn och plast, men funkar bra att fästa på ett vanligt fotostativ. Känns stadigt. Om det ger så mycket stabilare bild utan stativ, jämfört med att hålla telefonen i händerna ska jag låta vara osagt, men det är ett bra redskap för filmning med Iphone. Går också att sätta på mycket saker, som mickar och lampor.
