The volume knob goes to 11.
This thing is fantastically ridiculous. It will knock things off your walls, rattle things you didn't know could rattle, expand cracks in window panes, and terrify small children. My first experience with it involved knocking a plushie off a shelf. Unless you live in a rural area, your neighbours *will* know you own this thing. It has the kind of punch in very low frequencies that I've only ever experienced otherwise at a live concert or recently re-kitted theatre. It does unbelievably well with LFE from movies/TV, and normal stereo audio like music really fills out with thing. While pricey, it's definitely worth it, and it's not overkill for everyday use. It's worth noting this is incredibly large. At almost 25 inches/64cm in each dimension, and weighing about 100lbs/45kg, you need both a spot to put it, and a path to that spot. It was not an easy task moving it across the house by myself. The volume and frequency cutoff knobs are positioned to be used from above, which is perfect, because you do NOT want to move this thing to adjust it, once it's settled. Construction and materials are very high quality. The only downside I can think of is the chunk missing from my wallet. Otherwise this is an absolutely wonderful subwoofer.

As powerful as you hoped
So in 2008 I thought I had made it. I had just became an adult and I bought the biggest baddest woofer at Best Buy. A Klipsch 650 watt 12 inch synergy down firing woofer. I can’t even find this thing on the internet anymore when I look for it, but it is such a good woofer. When I lived in an apartment I made people turn their music down after a few seconds of rocking that woofer. There are few woofers that compete with it and I will never part with that beauty. So believe me when I tell you that this 16 inch 100lb woofer makes my old woofer sound like a sneeze compared to a tornado. They both hit the same high frequency’s, but when you hit the lows, this 1600 watt power house does things I thought only happened at theaters and concerts. It WILL knock something off a shelf. That’s the difference between this and an above average woofer. I hope this helped someone.

Very impressive!
This sub is overwhelming! If you want to re-live your 80's/90's high school car boom days in your living room, then this is the sub for you. It's fantastic! This thing is so powerful! Make sure your highs and mids are powerfull enough to keep up. I paired this sub with Klipsch 7's and need more. When sub is turned to level 7, the 7's are not enough. You need 300-500w a channel to keep up with this sub. If you dont have that much for highs and mids, buy a smaller version of this sub. You can turn this sub down to 3-4 to accommodate, but why! Slam, baby slam! And this does for sure!

Heavy but packs a punch
Sounds and FEELS great! Does weigh a ton, but was able to roll this beast up the stairs very slowly and carefully as the stairs acted as support. Makes movies and music very enjoyable

Reference Premier for the win
This sub is a BEAST! If you have the room and probably an extra guy to help you move it. I just got it, but everything I've bought from klipsch has sounded great. I love it so far, I'm sure the feeling will only grow with time.
