Rough, not smooth.
I expected the refill to be smooth. Typically of the characteristic of a pilot pen, however it turns out that the refill is rough, scratchy, and does not right smoothly. So, I have now order a refill that is bold. Hopefully that should be smooth.

For those of you who love to write, but want a smooth flow without fail, you must try these PILOT Pen G2 Gel refills. You will absolutely love having refills readily available!! I certainly ENJOY JOURNALING with them !!!

Absolutely ink-riffic! I installed this in a pen I have that had run out of ink and as if MAGIC, I am able to write again! I cannot promise you the same magic, but I hope you have the same success that I did!

These are my favorite pens and I love the refills, very easy to change out the cartridges. The pens write very smoothly, and there is no difference when you change out the cartridges
