Q: Why are you charging 26$ when this sells for 10$ on ebay?

Amazon price gouges sellers because they store it in their warehouses. The ebay straps ship from China. The cheapest ive seen on ebay is $17 + shipping. I personally think its worth forking over an extra $5 for 2 day shipping and amazon guarantee.

Q: One reviewer says this strap will affect the watch's compass because the screws are ferrous/magnetic, is that true?

I have tested the watch compass and find it is off by 18 to 20 degrees. Holding a magnet across the screws (2 on each side) verified they are magnetic. The rest of the metal is not magnet ie no attraction to the magnet. removing the straps from the watch and holding the part that attaches to the watch, you can see it effect the compass. In summary the screws are ferrous of some type. Hope this helps

Q: What is the recommended cleaning method?

I pop it off the watch and put it on a belt loop when I do the laundry. Let the wat charge while the band washes. I've never put it in the dryer.
