Pros and cons
First try at this soup maker.Pros: Easy to use. Quick. Great for making soups with whatever ingredients you have at hand.Cons: The outside gets very hot. Be careful! A bigger warning sign is needed! Or a protection sleeve. When the process is finished, there’s a continuous beeping. It’d be great to limit it to a certain number of beeps. You need to plug/unplug to use/not in use.Overall a four star for me. Could reach 5 with some improvements.

Love it
I never knew there was such a thing as a soup maker until I saw a lady online making soup with hers. Thought I’d give it a try, and I love it. All you have to do is throw your vegetables and whatever in the pot, turn it on, and have soup in about 20 minutes, it’s great !

Awesome
This was awesome for me! I diced veggies including green and chicken, added my spices and water. Pressed chunky mode and it was off. 28 minutes later I had a delicious bowl of soup. Surprisingly … the water did not turn green from the green leafy veggies.😊❤️

It's a plane, no, it's coffee maker...wait...it's S O U P M A K E R ! ! !
If like me, you're sitting there looking at this thing called a "soup maker" that looks like a coffee pot and asking yourself, "why in the heck would I want or need that"? To which my inner child would respond, "because it's an appliance and we all know whoever dies with the most kitchen gadgets wins!Yes, yes, I know...you have no cabinet space, you're doing your best to keep your counters uncluttered and you're still not ready to throw out the ice cream maker and grandma's old mixer with the blown motor...but for this little gem, it might be time to let go. If nothing else, it's a gateway drug to take you back to your childhood and all those wonderful soups grandma used to make. You can make as many different kinds of soup as your imagination will allow, but the genius who came up with this gadget narrowed it down to two types - chunky and smooth. Some of the more sophisticated soup machines also include a sauté feature, but you don't need it and frankly won't use it. Rather, you'll use a pan on your stove for those recipes that require sautéed onions, etc. The stove top is much quicker, easier and well, just trust me, this has everything you need.Perhaps the most frustrating thing about the whole Soup Machine "thang", is that it's a relatively new gadget here in the US. Our British friends are way ahead of us, and most of the instructional video's you'll find on YouTube are clearly made there. Moreover, at the time of this review, there aren't any cookbooks available either...WHAT? Welcome to the wild wild west of soup machine's. As if you just took a ride in the Back To The Future DeLorean and happened to have this in the car with you. After watching a few video's, trying some of the recipes in the included starter manual and asking yourself what you crave most and why you bought this thing in the first place, you'll probably land on something intriguing like Butternut Squash and cocoanut soup, or Creamy Potato and Leek, or Tomato Basil...you get the idea. And the fun part of it all is the journey. Don't stress about perfection, you're going to make a few mistakes, but it's just soup. You can always fix soup. Always. So experiment and have fun.I think this is a great machine. It has a powerful motor for mixing and an 800 watt heating element, so it gets the job done in short order (like around 23 - 28 minutes). Do you need it to make soup? Nope. Will it rekindle your secret desire to make great soup? Yep, and that alone in my book is a reason to press order.
