Folks, an excellent mircowave egg 🥚 boiler.
Well Folks an excellent egg boiler. I put my 800w mircowave oven on for four minutes and the egg white was clear and runny, so I put another egg on for five and a half minutes and the egg yolk was perfect for me, the egg yolk was slightly soft.

Silly feet. Poor design of a very good idea.
Silly, childish, impractical 'feet' on this plastic chicken. Why? You need oven mitts to get it out of the microwave and the shiny plastic is slippery. This invention, about 25 years old, is a great way of 'boiling' (actually steaming) a single egg. You boil the water, which steams the egg, encased in aluminium which protects the egg from direct microwaves which would cause it to burst. Our old one (25 years old) has finally cracked, the plastic crumbling from almost daily use, but the design, with a plastic lip for holding it, means you can handle it without burnt fingers. So I have done a DIY job, removed the silly feet and glued it onto the old base. Voila! Now it's perfect. You don't need to pierce the yolk. Just prick the shell at the fat end. (picture shows the feet removed, plus the ancient top, disintegrated)

Pleased with this - it is so accurate and easy.

VERY DISAPPOINTED
it is very fiddly to use and tend to pierce the yolk too much so that it separates from the egg white.I shall be returning it. very disappointed and probably better to stick with the pan and water!

Good idea but…
Looks good but the pin provided breaks the shell rather than piercing it

Easy way to a fast breakfast
Handy egg cooker for the microwave with no having to set timers and boiling a whole saucepan of water for one egg. If you prefer a harder egg, I would suggest using a medium sized egg as this size cooks perfectly, large eggs, from my own experience, only cook soft as the water is used up before they set harder. You could always refill the water and give it a few extra minutes, however. Looks cute sitting on top of the microwave.
