Does this stapler take regular staples?

It will use regular stables, but it does not work reliably with them. Don't buy it if you have to use regular staples. Every negative review you see on this stapler is from people who used regular staples. The bottom of the stapler, in very fine print says the following: "Use Optima or S.F.3 staples." If you do this, IMHO, is the best stapler made.

Came with NO staples. Disappointing..

Does this stapler open to 180 degrees to use on bulletin boards?

It does not open to 180 degrees, its a regular desk stapler.

Will this be okay to use for small volume like 2 pages as well, or only for high volume stapling? Thanks.

Works great for small volume (2 pages). I use this stapler for work, so I use it a lot, and it hasn't given me any problems at all so far.
