Impressionism (Basic Art)

The media could not be loaded. I love art and beautiful books about art! This one is as beautiful to display as it is to look through. Whether you are an art lover, home decor enthusiast, or both, this book is a winner. I think I will get more books from this series because I enjoy this one so much.

Good book

I gain a lot of pre-purchase insight by all the reviews on Amazon, but I confess I don't always take much time to write reviews myself. I want to write a review for this book, because I've been searching and searching for a huge book of impressionism that doesn't disappoint by stashing hundreds of tiny reprints on the pages- or literally include a black-and-white photo of the painting [ugh!!!]. As I carefully turned the pages of this 11.3 x 13.5 book, my breath kept catching at the stunning full page (and sometimes 2-page) spreads! Though it may not be an expert opinion, my humble eye doesn't prefer the bizarre in art, but rather the gorgeous, stunning beauty of art. Whoever made the lovely selections for this book has compiled a perfect feast for the eyes- precisely my cup of tea!

I have several volumes from this series and very much enjoy them all. Great visuals, excellent summaries, and attractive layouts make these little books a treat to read. Probably not for in-depth researchers but they’re an excellent entertainment value for the price.

Beautiful artwork, just wish there was more of it in the book.

Cute coffee table book

Great book that highlights the most famous and well known impressionistic art. Excellent pictures and informative text.
