Needed something to replace a charge light on an AD244 alternator (also works on CS130). This fit the bill and the alt has not yet burnt out - which means neighter has the resistor.

I needed some 240KΩ 2W resistors for a project (specifically two of them in parallel to get a total of 120KΩ), ideally as close to that number as possible without spending a ton of money for extremely low tolerance. Because I knew these were a random brand, I decided to test the resistors using a 5.5 digit bench multimeter with a 4-wire measurement probe (range set to 2MΩ). I left the probe clipped on to each resistor for approximately 30 seconds and recorded the results. It appears that all of the resistors were <= 3% tolerance, but only 29 of the 50 were <= 1%. I do not know what the TCR rating is on these, but some of them were still rising into the 30 second data capture mark (which leads me to believe that some of them have a high TCR).I did expect some that were outside of the 1% range, but unfortunately ALL of the resistors I got were over 240KΩ; which means that there is no way to balance them out to get my desired 120KΩ. One star removed due to resistors being +0% to +1% (no minus tolerances) as well as nearly half of them being over 1% tolerance. (I think based on the batch of 50 that I got that it would be more accurate to describe these as 2% tolerance resistors.)
