Great, just what I needed. Wipeable and functional.

Very clear and uncluttered map but the backing is a bit too shiny and it does not cling to my desk as I'd like.

A desk mat

Have just received the desk mat I ordered and am very pleased with it. It is exactly what I envisaged when I was looking around for such a thing.I was a little wary of other reviews which criticised the durability but decided to go ahead.As it is unlikely to come in for very hard wear it should be fine. It helps to cover a part of my desk surface which is a little worn.Speed of despatch was excellent. Well done all round.

Easy to clean perfect for my desk

This is not worth the money at all. It says in the description that it is a 'durable, solid and foam backed anti-slip Desk Mat'. This is so far from the truth. It is a laminated piece of paper with a slippery black plastic backing (not anti-slip) and the picture is full of bubbles. It is also very flimsy and not solid at all. Complete waste of money and I will definitely be returning as well as reporting to Amazon for a misleading description of the product. Very unhappy when it is 3 days to Christmas and this was a Christmas present!

First one arrived damaged, replaced without any problems, but two weeks on and the sides crack and split easily so not durable at all. On the bright side the picture of the world map is interesting!

Many years ago, before kids, private school fees and other ferocious expenses, Duncurin purchased super fitted oak furniture for the study. This looks wonderful especially on the rare occasions when I tidy up in there. It has a nice corner curved desk upon which sits the iMac. It struck me that such an arrangement would not wear well if arms and mouse were resting on it for any great length of time and so I purchased a desktop protector rather similar to this item, The old one had a slightly better weight to it and was also a little softer. Most crucially it also had a foam/artificial rubbery surface which cushioned it against the desk and acted as a mouse mat. With time the foam backing perished and I noted that the desk surface was now very sticky with material coming off the backing.Enter this new mat which as above is not as substantial. It’s basically a laminated Mercator projection of the world. This being said, it’s inexpensive and clean and though not as protective of the desk underneath nor as good as a mouse mat it will go some way towards these aims. As an added bonus the sticky residue caused me to clean said desk and even tidy up.It looks okay, the desk is protected and the desk looks clean and tidy; but to be clear this is not a substantial item nor does it have a nice tactile feel to it. It would be fine for a desk that gets occasional rather than intensive use and also for kids’ desks too but less suitable for serious home working.
