Cheap junk that fails within 30-60 days
I went through now at least 5 of these smart WiFi outlets. Cheap junk! They overheat, create buzzing noise when USB is powered on and outlets are off, and once they reach a certain number of charging operations, they simply die. I do not recommend them, and will be tossing all of them that I installed throughout the house. Stick with a name brand like Leviton. Everything else is cheap junk.

Easy installation
Has pigtails for the three wires instead of screw lugs... which actually makes it easier to tuck everything in the wall box. Setup is a cinch after downloading the app. It uses an Alexa skill for operation that you select under "third party control". Alrxa creates four devices even though the first two are the valid ones... so just delete the other two and you're good to go. Operation within Alexa is seamless.

Nice, but
Works as expected, easy to install. No hub required but internet IS required. If you're using Alexa, etc., to control it you probably don't care. But if you're running Home Assistant this switch will not run locally. The only way I've been able to add it to HA is thru the Tuya integration, which requires internet to run. If you can live with your automations not working when your internet is down, then I fully recommend it. It works like a charm to keep my tablet charged between 25-75%. You can see in the photo how the USB C has turned itself off because the tablet has reached desired charge. (BTW, if anyone has figured out how to make it run locally I would love to hear.)

Worth every penny
Item was fairly priced and did exactly what I needed it to do. This gives you total control over the outlet, not only on and off but setting a schedule as well. Product seems to be very good quality. Overall, very pleased.

Update
Bought 2 units. All worked with alexa on initial setup. After 3 months one unit quit. Still works through moes app but will not function via alexa. I get unit unresponsive. Tried all the solutions moes suggested still no luck. Moes did finally agree to replace the unit. Installed and operating. Will see how long it lasts
